Promises {Taeyong}

Chapter Six

After firing a couple more arrows and watching Taeyong fail at archery, we found a secluded corner of the mall to change into the pyjamas. I made sure Taeyong didn't look as I slipped into the minion pyjamas. We then went to the nearest furniture shop and rolled around in the beds and lounged around on the sofas till we were kicked out of there.

Taeyong then poured all of the extra large bottle of bubble bath in the fountain situated in the centre of the mall. Bubbles frothed and foamed, filling the fountain and spilling over the edged, causing a sea of bubbles to begin flooding the mall. He quickly handed me one of the snorkeling kits and we plunged into the bubbly water.

Neither of us could see anything. Even if your hand was right in front of your face, a wall of bubbles and freezing cold water would stand between the two. Taeyong and I splashed around in the water, laughing and giggling with each other until 2 well built security guards began to head towards us.

"Run!" Taeyong yells as soon as he notices them, grabbing my wrist tightly and pulling me through the mall. We ran out into the rain, heading down street after street until Taeyong pulled me into a small alleyway.

I was shivering from the cold, the thin minion pyjamas not doing much to protect my skin from the relentless rain and powerful winds. My teeth chattered and I rubbed my hands up and down my arms to try and create some friction.

Since the alleyway was tiny, Taeyong was practically pressed up against me. I could tell he was shivering as much as I was. He looked down at me with a warm smile as he wrapped his arms around me. "You're cold." He states. I try to wriggle out of his arms but he doesn't let go.

"No shit. We should go back to the hotel before I freeze to death." I suggest and Taeyong nods, leading the way back to the hotel. We stand facing each other in the dim lit corridor of the hotel. We're both soaking wet from the rain and we stand outside the doors to our hotel rooms.

There's a comfortable silence before Taeyong's phone signals that he's received a text message. "I have to go. I'll see you around batgirl." He winks at me before disappearing into his hotel room. A large sigh escapes my lips before I enter my own hotel room.

The rain had numbed my skin and I was leaving a trail of rainwater wherever I went. I took a long shower to wash away the cold and the rain before slipping into a pair of jogging bottoms and large jumper. It wasn't very late, only 6PM, but I had nothing else to do, so I lay in bed and watched music shows all day.

Each day that I had in Santorini seemed to fly by. My parents and I spent the rest of the holiday together, visiting landmarks or going out to an activity together. Overall, it was a pretty good holiday. My parents smiled a lot and I had a lot of fun too.

After that day with Taeyong in the mall, we didn't run into each other for the remainder of my time in Santorini. Every time I left my hotel room to go meet my parents, I would wait to see him emerge from his room with that all too familiar arrogant smirk playing on his lips.

Every time I was relaxing on the balcony, hanging upside down, I'd listen for his voice calling me batgirl. But, he didn't show. I don't know what I expected, we spent time with each other because of coincidences. I guess I just ran out of good luck.

It was my last night in Santorini and I had just arrived back at my hotel after going out for another meal with my parents. I was still flustered and embarrassed because of the meal, so I just wanted to go to bed. After all, I did call the waiter mum by accident and spilled a massive glass of cola on the floor, leaving a large stain on the pristine, white carpet.

As soon as I got into my hotel room, I crashed down onto my bed and kicked my heels off, not caring where they landed. The past few nights in Santorini had been deathly humid and warm and this one was no exception. My room was like a sauna and so I stepped outside onto the balcony, sitting up straight in the chair for once.
