The next morning was as average as any other morning. I woke up, got dressed and went to class. The only thing out of the ordinary was the rapid drum of my heart, beating hard against my ribs in my chest.

It made me breathless, my knees weak and my fingers shaking as they gripped onto my notepad. Each step I took was harder than the last as the two doors leading into my classroom came into view.

He was in there. The mere thought of it was enough to make me feel nauseous. As if studying medicine wasn't hard enough, now I'd be stuck in a classroom with him.

My legs carried me as fast as they could to me seat and I collapsed into it, breathing deeply out of relief that Taeyong wasn't here yet.

"Are you okay? You look like you just ran a marathon." Hansol jokes, turning in his chair so he faces me.

Despite the nerves that were knotting in my stomach, I cracked a smile and laughed gently. "I'm fine. I slept in." I lie. It felt strange that a boy was making me feel like this. Throughout my life, I had never been affected like this, especially by a boy. There was something different about Taeyong; I couldn't figure out what.

The teacher arrived a couple minutes later and the class began. Taeyong still hadn't shown and I was partially grateful, thinking that maybe I could postpone the awkward encounters for another day.

Just as I was beginning to fully relax and study diligently, the doors to the classroom slowly creaked open, giving me horrific flashbacks to my first day when I had been late. Everyone in the class turned to see who had turned up late.

There he stood, red faced and out of breath. Lee Taeyong. I silently cursed as his eyes instantly locked with mine. My jaw clenched and I looked to the floor. I looked to the table on my right. Jaehyun hadn't turned up today, he told me he was sick and asked me to take notes.

Closing my eyes, I prayed that Taeyong would choose a different seat. After being scolded by the teacher, he was sent to the empty table next to mine. Of course he was. Just my luck.

My eyes instinctively seeked out Hansol. He gave me a reassuring smile. A tap on my shoulder caused me to flinch. Slowly, I turn to face him. "We're seated next to each other! Isn't it exciting!" Taeyong grins at me.

"Shh! I need to study." I whisper yell, shuffling uncomfortably in my seat and trying to concentrate on my studying again.

"Aw, come on. I can tell you're happy I'm here." Taeyong smirks. My eyes roll back into my head.

"Just focus on your work." I mumble, staring at my notebook intently so that I didn't have to lock eyes with Taeyong.

"How can I focus when I'm sitting next to you?" I glare at him and he winks at me. Even after I found out he has a girlfriend he still has the nerve to flirt with me. I can't believe him.

"I'll remember to tell your girlfriend you said that." A long sigh falls from my lips as I attempt to focus on the class again. Taeyong chuckles at my comment. Finally, he must've given up.

Mr. Im glares at me over the rim of his glasses and I feel a shiver run down my spine. He may seem like a sweet old guy but he has a soul colder than Jack Frost.

"Ah, about that, there's something I need to-" Taeyong starts. His words spike an interest in me and I stare at him. His gaze looks as though he's hiding something and my curiosity is instantly sparked.

Mr. Im's loud voice echoes throughout the classroom. "Lee Taeyong! Song Jihyo! Is there something you'd like to share with the class?" His eyes narrow into a glare, almost powerful enough to make my heart stop.
