Elijah Johnson, Jacob Perez, and Mike River was once known as The Trio a few years back when they went to camp as almost 7th graders.
Mike and Elijah disappeared from Jacob's life due to family reasonings. He was promised to hear from them but he...
I laid down on my bed and watched Jacob and Elijah debate on who is or isn't coming with us. Paris and Ally already left.
So far, we decided to bring Paris and Zoe cuz they siblings.
"All we need is two more." I announced.
We couldn't bring Nicki or August because of their jobs. Not even Jeremiah because we know how he is about August.
Elijah asked about Kevin and Jacob refused.
"Nigga kissed my man pretending to be drunk. I ain't forget that shit."
"Serenity?"
I shook my head. She's cool and all, but she's really loud and I'm tryna make sure my uncle or any of my phobic cousins don't find out about me and Jacob. Speaking of which, I hope my mom didn't tell him yet.
"I'll be right back." I left the room and went downstairs into the kitchen.
"Mommy! Come here."
"I Can't. I'm in the middle of putting y'all food in the oven and I have to go to work in a few hours."
"Okay." I sat on top of the counter closest to her so she could hear me.
"Did you tell Uncle Davis about me and Jacob?"
"No. I didn't. Why? Do you want me to? I really don't think you'd want that."
"Nah mom. I don't. Don't tell him anything about us."
I got off the counter and went back upstairs.
"Aye, I gotta talk to y'all. Come outside with me."
While we walked around the block, I explained to them how my uncle and some of my family members that they were going to meet were homophobic.
"So you're saying we have to hide our relationship?" Jacob crossed his arms.
"Something like that. Same thing with Elijah and Paris. I really don't want to do this."
"We ain't got to. If I want to kiss my boyfriend in front of the world, I can."
"Facts!" Elijah and Jacob dapped each other up.
"Look y'all, if you both want to come with me then that's what we have to do. Alright? And Jacob, It's not like we won't get time alone."
