NATASHA POV//
The week went by quickly. The rain almost never stopped and neither did the vomiting. Steve insisted that we head home early to make sure I was okay but I resisted every time until he finally convinced me that it was best.

We arrive home early on a Monday morning and almost don't make it to the bed because of the jet lag. Steve carries me to bed and lays me down and I curl up next to him falling asleep almost instantly. The next morning I wake up alone and beside me where Steve sleeps is cold. I rub my eyes a bit before sitting up and walking out of the room. I find a hand written note on the dining table that reads, "Fury called me in for a day mission, nothing serious. I'll be home around 1 pm Love, Steve P.S go to the doctors to get checked out." I place the note back down on the table and run into the bathroom. I throw up whatever I ate last, along with green chunks. I flush the toilet and brush my teeth getting rid of the stench and head into the bedroom to get dressed. I pick out a tank top and and old hoodie and pull some jeans on. I stand in front of the full body mirror trying to button my jeans. I finally manage to button and zip my pants but it nearly takes my breath away. I find myself staring into the mirror and notice my hands are shaking. I place my hands on my head trying to ease my nerves. I swallow hard trying to push any thoughts out of my head and grab my keys. It's a short drive to the avengers tower but my mind is racing a million miles a minute. I reach the tower and head up to the 63rd floor The Lab. I walk in to see Bruce and Tony chatting and holding clip boards. "Hey." Bruce says looking out of the top part of his glasses. I slightly smile back, "Hey, umm Tony, I think I heard a crash coming from Buck's room and then he just started swearing in Russian." I say grabbing Tonys attention. He rolls his eyes and angrily puts down his clip board "Of course that stupid bag of shit broke something." He mumbles under his breath as he marches out of the lab and into the elevator. Bruce and I both laugh at him as he leaves and I turn towards Bruce. "What do you think he broke?" He says still laughing. I take a moment to respond. "I made it up, I just needed him gone." The room falls silent and he looks up at me worried. "You can do anything medical in here right?" I ask looking around the room and I feel my hands begin to shake again. "Natasha, what's wrong?" He asks taking his glasses off and putting them in his pocket. "I...I need an ultrasound." I say trying to avoid eye contact. His eyes widen and his jaw drops. "You know, it's not-" I cut him off. "Possible. Yea I know... I just, I need to have clarity." He nods not saying anything and pats the bed next to him. I lay down as instructed while he pulls a machine to my side. "Have you had any symptoms?" He asks turning the machine on. "Weight gain.. uhh vomiting, lots of vomiting." I say. "Natasha, this could be a lot off other things." He starts "I just need to know, please." I say my voice cracking. He nods "Pull your shirt up, this will be cold." I do as directed and he squirts cold gel onto my stomach. I close my eyes and lean my head against the back of the bed. "Ready?" He asks and I nod squeezing my eyes shut even harder then they already were. He places the ultrasound stick on my stomach and moves it across my stomach. The room is completely silent, until we hear a small heartbeat. My breathing begins to speed up and I quickly opens my eyes and sit up a bit on my elbows. I lay there staring and the screen to see a small black and white baby on the monitor. "I can't tell you much, I only perform ultrasounds to show muscles or organs but never a..." He doesn't finish. "Baby." I say not taking my eyes off of the screen. "A baby?" I mutter under my breath. "You are gonna want to go to a doctor who specializes in this area." He says handing me a paper towel to wipe the gel off my stomach. I sit up and pull my shirt down. "Thank you." I say in a quiet voice just as Tony walks back into the room. "He claimed to not do anything, but I don't trust that lil bastard." He says marching back into the room. I quickly jump off of the bed. "Why are you here?" Tony asks as he passes me. I see Bruce open his mouth out of the corner of my eye but quickly intervene. "I've been having headaches, I came to ask Bruce what pills help with it the best." I say as I grab my hoodie from the bed. I feel Bruce's eyes staring into me. Tony nods and I quickly turn back to Bruce who's shaking his head before quickly walking out of the room and into the elevator. When I'm alone I feel tears begin to collect in my eyes and try hard to hold them back. I gently place my hand on my stomach and laugh a bit at the thought. I quickly drive back to the apartment and lay down on the couch. What if Steve doesn't want it? I can't help but think to myself. What if something doesn't work out and the baby gets hurt or...? Steve opens the door and it makes me jump a little. He walks in closing the door behind him and I immediately stand up from the couch facing him. He can tell somethings not right. He walks over to me and all I can do it stare at him. "Natasha... Are you okay?" He asks I stand there and I feel my whole body melting beneath me. "I'm pregnant."
