NATASHA POV//
I sit on a large couch in the middle of the Avengers Tower living room with Steve sitting by my side with his arm draped around me. I watch from inside as the small snow flakes fall from the sky. Pepper enters the room with a long string of lights and a box full of ornaments. Steve quickly stands up and takes the box and strings from Pepper and places them down next to the Christmas tree. Jane and Thor enter the room closely followed by a small little girl dressed in all pink. "STEVIIEE!" The little girl screeches running into the room over to Steve. She runs towards him with her arms opened wide and he gently lifts her up resting her on his hip. "How's my favorite little girl." He says. "I lost a toof." She says opening her mouth wide showing Steve her missing front tooth. He laughs at her lisp then whispers something in her ear pointing in my direction. She nods and he lets her down easily and she runs over to me and climbs onto the couch. "My mommy says your gonna give me a lil cousin." She says with a big smile on her face. I nod just as Jane sits down next to me. "Once I told Astrid about you and Steve were having a baby it's all she can talk about." She says stroking the young girls blonde hair. Clint and Wanda enter the room together and join the crowd sitting on the couch. "When can I play with my cousin." She asks sitting in between me and Jane. "Well, right now the baby has only been in my tummy for 4 months, so I have some more time before you can meet him or her." She pouts a bit but them places both of her small hands on my belly and presses her ear against me trying to hear the baby. I see Steve staring at me with a small smirk on his face. I later stand up to join Steve in decorating the tree and grab a string of lights. The room is full of different conversations and loud voices and laughs until I feel the room go cold and the entire room falls silent as Sam enters the room with a shadowed Bucky behind him. Last week Bucky had another meltdown in the tower, and let's just say it didn't go so well. I feel Steve's hand on my lower back pulling me closer to him. I smile at Bucky and he sends me a sad smile back as he walks over on another couch across the room from everyone else. I turn to Steve and he reads my expression, "Nat, be careful." He says nodding over in Bucky's direction. I slowly walk over to Bucky as everyone begins to quietly talk still eyeing him. "Hey." I say grabbing his attention from the floor. "Hey." He says smiling looking up at me. I notice his hand deeply cut and bruised to the point where it's black and blue. "Is this from last week?" I ask gently taking his hand. He nods, "You don't need to be afraid of yourself." I say, he hesitates, "What if I hurt you or anyone else?" He asks. "You're won't, I trust you."

STEVE POV//
Natasha walks over to Bucky sitting alone and I continue to decorate the tree, looking back at them every few seconds. Astrid walks up behind me and taps my leg. I look down at her, "Can I help?" She asks and I nod handing her an ornament. Natasha walks over Bucky following her. I see Jane expression of worry as Bucky walks over and I put my hand out assuring her that Astrids safe. Astrid looks up at Bucky smiling showing off her missing tooth and hands him a small ornament. He chuckles taking the ornament from the small girl and hanging it onto the tree. I watch as Natasha grabs my shoulder with one hand and place her other onto her forehead. I grab her waist and lead her over to the couch and sit her down. Bucky looks over at us tilting his head in confusion. I walk back over, "Lately she's been getting light-headed, but the doctors said it's normal."
•••
As the night goes on people begin to head out or off to their rooms. "But I wanna be awake when Santa comes." Astrid says pouting when Thor picks her up to head off to bed. The room empties out until only me and Natasha are left. She lays against me and we watch the colorful Christmas lights and the snow building up outside. I see her eyes begin to shut and lift her up into my arms and head down the long corridor into my old room. I lay her down on the bed and she opens her eyes smiling at me as she curls up in the cold sheets. I change into my sleepwear and wash my face and stare into the mirror. I hear Natasha gasp loudly and quickly run to her side. She's now sitting up right in the bed with her shirt pulled up and her hands on her belly. Her eyes widen and she gasps again. "Nat-?" I say worried. She looks over at me smiling and takes my hand placing it where hers was before. She gently presses against her belly and I suddenly feel a small movement against my palm. I look up at Natasha smiling widely and I feel a slightly harder movement against my palm again. "The babys strong." I say to Natasha then I level my head with her belly. "You're strong like your mother." She laughs a bit and I crawl into bed laying down next to her. She falls asleep in my arms and I wait until her breathing is steady before I drift off to sleep. I hear her quietly gasp every so often through out the night and watch as her stomach pushes up in certain areas. I softly kiss her forehead then slowly close my eyes falling asleep.
