Chapter 3

Yang's p.o.v

Nora was already at my house as me and Blake pulled in. I spun in a circle and stopped right next to Nora's car. I saw that everyone was out of the car accept Nora. She must have scared them.

I smiled a bit and removed my helmet. I suddenly felt a pain go through my stomach. I looked down and saw Blake still holding onto me. "You can let go now Blakey, the fun is over" I said softly. She slowly released her grip and got off my bike.

"I'm queen of the castle!! I'm queen of the castle!!" I looked at Nora to see her jumping around. I shook my head, "you won this time Nora, but round two is gonna be better" I smirked. Everyone looked at me with pail expressions. "I am NOT, doing that again!" Ruby yelled. The others nodded.

I pulled my keys out of my pocket and walked to the gate on the side of the house. "Why are we coming through here?" Coco asked. "Because the kitchen is back here and if you guys are hungry, we can grab a snack" I said grabbing a bottle of water from the fridge.

Everyone began to have a conversation with one another "Ruby, set up rooms I'll be back" I said walking to the front of the gate. I got my phone out and dialed my friend.

"Hello?" he answered. "Junior! It's Yang, listen, I can't hang out today. My sister invited some friends over" I said. He sighed, "how about next Friday then? I'll save you a drink" I thought about his offer. "Deal" I heard him laugh on the other side. "Alright, see you then blondey" he said. "Whatever loser, see ya bye" I hung up and sighed.

I opened the front door and went upstairs to my room. I opened the window and stepped on the roof. I looked out into the sunset, the sky becoming colors of pinks and oranges. I looked down and saw everyone having a good time. I notice we were missing someone. Where's Blake?

I felt someone tap my shoulder and looked to see Blake sitting there. I smiled softly. "Hey kit cat, what ya doing?" her eyes widened for a second but then she looked away. "I'm not a people's person" she mumbled. I nodded looking back at everyone else.

"Why are you here Yang? And not with everybody else?" she said, looking at her shoes. I sighed a little. "There are times you just got to escape from everything and times you have to stay stuck. Right now, I want to escape but I can't" I said looking at the sky again. I felt something on my shoulder and looked to see her head there. I blushed a little and looked back at the sky.

"I know how you feel" she said just below a whisper, but I heard it loud and clear. She lifted her head from my shoulder, looking down at everyone. I stood up and held out my hand to her. She took it and we went back to the party.

Ruby was chugging milk, Nora and Coco were cheering her on, and Wiess, Velvet, and Pyrra were talking. I walked over to a tray of snacks and took a cookie. Ruby finished her milk chugging and looked at me. Oh shit.

Ruby's p.o.v

I finished chugging my milk and looked at Yang eating...MY COOKIES!!

"Yang! Xiao! Long! Those are my cookies!!" I yelled. She looked at me, then the cookie, then back at me with a devilish smile. "Oh, you mean this cookie? I'm sorry, last time I checked, these were on the snack tray."

I used my semblance to grab the cookie and run back to my spot. The only thing is, I didn't grab the cookie. I grabbed her scarf. Awwwe shit!!

Yang's p.o.v

She had my scarf in her hand and everything around us seemed to be frozen. She laughed nervously and ran out the gate. Everyone looked at me. "What I do?" I said looking at them. Nora was the first to laugh followed by Pyrra, then everyone was in a fit of laughter. Ruby slowly walked over and gave me my scarf.
