Pyrrah's p.o.v
"It hurts so much" I heard her say.
"Yang?" I called out. I couldn't see anything, for it was too dark. "Yang? Is that you?" I called out again.
"P-Pyrrah?" she answered.
Suddenly, a light snapped on. I covered my eyes as I tried to look around me.
I was in an empty room with all white walls. There was nothing there. Just me.
I caught sight of something and looked up.
It was her. She was here too.
"Yang...where have you been?" I asked as I stood up from my spot. She looked at me with a soft smile.
"I've been here Pyrrah. I've been fighting" she said in a soft tone. I gave her a questioning look.
"Fighting what?" I asked. Her smile turned into a frown when I asked.
"See for yourself" was all she said.
And then...
Everything was back to black.
"Who dare disrupts me as I sleep!?" a voice yells. I flinched back at it. "Vintin, please. She's a friend" Yang's voice said.
A growl was heard before Yang reappeared. She smiled at me. "Sorry for him. He is part of my mind" she said.
I quirked a brow. "We're in...your head?" I asked. She smiled. "Yeah, kind of hard to believe huh? But here we are" she said.
I smiled sadly. "Why haven't you woken up?" I asked. Her smile falls. "It's better if I showed you" she said.
That's when I noticed her eyes weren't lilac anymore.
The were red.
In a flash, she had me in a tight grip and was walking backwards with me. I fought with everything I had, but it was no use. She was much stronger than me.
"May the dark envelope you" she whispered before letting me go. I fell to my knees and hissed in pain.
The sound of a howl rang through my ears and I looked up. There, right in front of me, stood...
I can't even describe it.
It had dark, bloody red eyes. It's fur was as pitch as black. Its claws looked razor sharp and it stood as if it were human but had the face of wolf. It was hunched over, as if it were still turning into whatever it was.
Fear ran through me and I knew the beast could smell it, for it had a smile on, showing its sharp razored teeth.
I backed away from it slowly but it only took slow strides towards me.
The room had caught fire somehow and it burned all around me. I stopped backing away as I felt the heat of the fire right behind me.
The beast growled once more as its face came closer to mine.
"Your fight is over"
I quickly sat up and gasped for air. Air that wasn't able to get to my lungs.
I was struggling to breath. I stood from my bed but only fell to the ground. I reached up and tried grabbing my inhaler from my dresser but to no use.
I began feeling weak and my struggling began to slow down.
"Pyrrah!!" I heard someone yell, before feeling myself being lifted up into a pair of arms.
"Is she okay!?" I heard another voice. "Her inhaler!" the voice from before said. I heard shuffling before feeling my inhaler on my lips.
Someone pumped it, bringing a bit of air into my lungs as I sucked it in. "Come on, one more time" what sounded like Jaune's voice, said.
The handle was pumped once more and I was able to breath again. I gasped a couple of time before my breathing became regular.
"Damn it Pyrrah" I heard Jaune say. I whimpered as I hid my face in the crook of his neck.
"That was way too close" he whispered. Tears threatened to spill from my eyes and I let them.
I cried because I could've died. In that dream and reality. My heart ached as the image of the monster came to mind once more.
Yang is going through so much...
Ruby's p.o.v
We left after Pyrrah's near death. The last thing I remember are her eyes. They weren't their normal emerald colored.
No.
They were bloody red. It terrified me because it reminded me of none other than my own sister.
I remembered how when she would get really upset, her eyes would turn red. But now, I can't see that.
Nor can I see those lilac eyes that held so much happiness and joy, yet a mystery and sadness.
My heart clenched just thinking about Yang.
What if she never woke up? How could I live, knowing the only other family member I had was gone? How would I live knowing I won't be able to laugh at her stupid puns? Or joke around with her?
If she never woke up, I wouldn't be able to live with myself. She was always there for me when I needed her.
She was the best sister anyone can ask for.
"Ruby?" I looked up at Blake through glassy eyes. She immediately knew what I was thinking. Her arms wrapped around me and I clutched onto her as I let out a sob.
"It's okay" she whispered to me as she held me. All emotions I had, I let them spill. I felt angry, yet sad. I felt hurt, yet emotionless.
"She'll wake up" she whispered after my crying went down a bit. I sighed and pulled away from her.
"I know...thank you. For everything" I mumbled. I wipped at my eyes. "She always talked about you, you know" I said looking at her.
She blushed. I smiled.
"She would always say she would ask you out but never actually got the nerve to do it. When she did, she talked even more about you. Like how she wanted a future with you. How she wanted to get married to you and have at least two kids" I smiled at the thought.
"She always wanted a boy and a girl. The boy would've been name Yin Belladonna Xiao Long, after her best friend, while the girl would be Caroline Belladonna Xiao Long, after our grandmother. She loved you so much, god, even her puns were overrated" I said with small laugh.
She laughed too.
The smile soon fell from my face though.
"She was supposed to ask you in three weeks" I said sadly. She looked at me with tears in her eyes.
"She said she didn't care how early it was, she wanted you to be hers and her to be yours" I said as a year rolled down her face.
"She told me that if anything ever happened before the day she asked, I am to take you somewhere. I only know the place because she told me where it was. When I'm not at home or work, I go there. I promised her, if anything did ever happen to her, I would-" I stopped myself as I found the words hard to form.
"I promised I would- I would take you to that place in order for you to let her go" I whispered. She heard it though.
"No..." was all she said before she let out a chocked sob. "No...I can't- she- we-" she broke down crying.
I broke at the sight of my best friend. My, would have been, soon-to-be sister.
That's when it hit me...
If anythin were to happen to Yang, the only thing she wants anyone to do is...
Let go...
