Rachel's POV
I wake up to a sound of an alarm. I look over to see Sean and Signe slowly waking up too. I yawn and look at the time, 7:25 am. "Morning sleepyheads" Sean says as he gets up. He goes over to the coffee machine and makes some coffee. Signe goes to the restroom and I get up and pick out my clothes. I have to look stylish, but also be comfortable. I grab a white tank-top blouse and some false jean shorts, they look like jean shorts but they're also comfortable. I also grab a pair of sandals. Signe walks out of the restroom fully changed and I go in there after her and change. I walk out and put on my glasses. I put my hair into a high ponytail. "I'm still jealous of your long eyelashes, your greenish-blue eyes really make them stand out." Signe says. I just make a weird noise in response. Sean comes out of the bathroom, his hair combed and he's changed into a t-shirt and jeans. Signe finishes up her makeup. We grab our things and we call an uber to PAX. When we get there security tells us to take the back entrance so we don't get bombarded with fans. Security takes us right to the signing. I was so surprised on how many people wanted to see my dad. I was standing patiently in the back until Mark decided to run over and pick me up, he lifted me in the air and started twirling me around. When I first met him I was shy, but I've warmed up to him. The crowd cheered and starting laughing. I also started laughing. He held me up like Simba in the Lion King. We all started laughing and he put me down. I walked back over to Where Signe and Amy were standing. "People seem to like you!" Amy says. "I hear that a lot.. I don't know why they would like me.. I don't really do anything special." I say. "I think they like you because you have a great personality. " Amy says. "Haha you're funny." I laugh. Sadly the signing ends and it's time to go to the revelmode panel. Signe, me and everyone else.
After le panel
Jack's POV
What a great panel! I think it went real well! We go to another signing and this one is a lot more crowded, and Signe is off with her friends so I'm keeping Rachel next to me this time. It was all going good and well until someone came up and asked me: "Why would you adopt such an ugly child." I immediately got extremely mad. "I don't want to cause a scene, but I would like it if you would leave please." The person nodded to what looked like his friend, and his friend ran and grabbed Rachel, they both took off. "RACHEL!!" I screamed. Mark and I both got out of our chairs and charged after them. The one holding Rachel tripped and fell. Mark grabbed Rachel and in anger I punched the guy that ran off with Rachel. Everyone stood there, staring at the situation. I ran over to Rachel and I hugged her. She held on to me tightly. Signe ran over, crying.. She had witnessed the whole thing. The police were called and they took the two away, they didn't even mess with me because they counted it as self defense. Rachel was too shaken up to say anything or do anything. I let go of Rachel and Signe ran over and hugged her. Signe adored Rachel, we've only known Rachel for a few months and now it's like Rachel has been with us our whole life. Signe grabbed Rachel by the hand and they went back to the hotel, but I had to stay at PAX to finish everything up.. I didn't want anyone else's day to be ruined because of someone's bad decision. I went back to the signing table, Mark patted me on the back. We finished the signing, but I feel like I let so many people down because I wasn't how I usually was. I decided to go back to the hotel to spend more time with Signe and Rachel.
Back at the Hotel
Rachel's POV
I sat down on the couch in the hotel room. Signe came down and sat next to me. She wrapped her arm around me. "Do you still want to go tomorrow?" She asked. "I'm not letting two people ruin my trip." I say.
