Be silent.
Don't let your mouth move.
Shut up,
You've said enough.
Don't speak your poisoned words.
No sound,
Not allowed.
Begging won't get you anywhere.
Sew them shut,
No air to your lungs.
Your screaming won't be heard.
Tape your frown,
Upside down
Into a permanent grin.
Smile with the mouth
Not the eyes,
Your silence will hide the sin.
No point,
Except on the knife
You used to subdue the hurt.
Too bad it did more than
press mute.
