When they arrived in viridian city they were greeted by 3 familiar faces.
"Hey Ash, Serena" there was a man about ashs age waving them over he had brown hair and wearing a purple top with brown trousers and a white lab coat. Next to him stood a woman similar in age she had orange hair and wearing a pair of denim shorts and a black tshirt. In the middle of them there stood a young lad not much older than astrid and chris he had brown hair like his dad wearing a red tshirt and blue jeans.
"Hey Gary Misty and Michael its been a while" ash greeted his old friend with a hand shale while serena went and hugged the two adults.
"The cars out front are you ready to check out the..." Gary was cut off by a look from Ash and Serena.
Ash whisperred into Garys ear "we havent told them yet its going to be a surprise".
"No probs moms the word" Gary winked at ash.
"What is it uncle Gary" asked astrid curiously, Gary chuckled at the question "you will see" he said. "Everyone buckled in". Everybody nodded there head "great then lets go".
It wasnt long before they reached pallet town "yay grandmas house" astrid and chris said then became confused as to why they went straight past. "Dad why arent we stopping?" Astrid asked curiously.
"You will see" said ash as they were nearing the border of pallet town then all of a sudden a ranch came into view with multiple buildings.
"Wow who lives here?" Chris asked looking around in amazement.
"Yeah its beautiful" astrid exclaimed excitedly.
"Well im glad you like it kids cause this is going to be our new home" serena said with delight.
"Really" astrid shouted "thats awesome but why here?"
Ash looked at his son and daughter "well I have been asked to be one of the gym leaders here for the kanto league since I was the former champion, so now your old man is the 8th gym leader that all trainers have to beat to enter the pokemon league at the indigo plateau".
"Thats awesome dad but what about you mom? Does this mean you have to give up pokemon showcases?" Chris asked.
"Not at all there introducing the pokemon showcases over here to and asked me to be 1 of the judges considering i was the former Kalos queen" serena replied with excitement.
"Well guys back in the car its off to grans house there still refurbishing the place so we can move in at the end of the week" Ash exclaimed.
They all got back in the car and arrived at delias home the children were tired after there long day so settled in quickly. So it was only ash serena and delia left in the living room.
