Chapter 25

Kantou Tournament

Ryuki Pov:

           The next day went smoothly. Momo is back to normal. He's early and present at our morning practice before the kantou tournament. He's wearing a normal practice jersey. As usual, eiji tease momo. Then oishi lectured him. Everyone was so worried at him, both regulars and not.

           "Senpai..." He called when he saw me. I nod acknowledging him.

           "You're early. Welcome back." Before turning my back to change for my usual practice jersey.

           When I came back from changing, momo is bowing at tezuka. Appologizing fo his tardiness.

           "Gomenasai tezuka-buchou. I won't do it again." Momo said.

           "Hmm. To make up for your absent, run 30 laps around the court." Buchou said. Momo immediately complied. "As for everyone, gather inside to start the usual exercise." He continued.

           Everyone is on fire, I can say. They were too emerged on practicing until we lost track of time. We didn't even felt that its already our first subject. The bell rang signaling the end of our usual morning practice. I was walking back when a sudden tensai walk beside me.

           "It looks like you're both back to normal." He said with his usual smile. I just look at him in return. "Saa.. We can all tell that something is different from the past practices." He said looking at me this time.

           "Nyaa ! Ryuki-chan and tezuka was really strange back then ! I wonder why ?" A bouncing kikumaru suddenly appeared beside me.

           "Eiji !" Oishi trying to hold the situation. Then a certain spiky haired guy wearing his certain eyeglasses made its way behind.

           "I should hear this. It would be a great data." Then his eyeglasses glint like the usual.

           "Inui !? Whe-when did you came here ?" Oishi looks shock at his sudden appearance.

           "Minna.. I think we're all mistaking. We shouldn't put ryuki in this kind of questioning." Taka trying to help oishi to stop everyone from probing.

           "Say ryuki-senpai... Do you have a thing with our buchou !?" Momo appeared out of nowhere with ryoma. He's wiggling his eyebrows. Im expecting another from my dear younger brother but he just look at me instead.

           "Fussssh~" as expected, a venumous kaidoh also appeared. Wait a minute ! Where this gang came from ? They were like mushrooms appearing out of no where.

           "Hey mamushi ! Don't just appeared like that startling everyone !" Momo commented. Kaidoh immediately hissed back.

           "Naniii ?! You also appeared like that out of no where, baka !" Kaidoh said making an annoyed face.

          "What did you say, mamushi ?!" Momo fired back. Then it ended up to their fight again. Im beginning to get irritated.

           "Im not saying anything. Now GO. AWAY." I said putting a deadly tome on the last two words. I walk faster leaving them. This kids were seriously a headache ! I was about to go inside when someone entered also. Our shoulders bump into each other. I immediately shoot daggers to whoever it is. Only to find a forever stoic and poker-faced kunimitsu Tezuka. We both look surprise. We were just staring at each other when someone fake a cough behind.

           "Neechan, you forgot to this." Ryoma said with a knowing look before handling me my bento box. I immediately narrowed my eyes when I spotted a familiar faces at ryoma's back. Ugh ! This kids. They were even grinning like hell ! I snatch my lunch from ryoma before entering my class without looking back at them. I sigh. I felt tezuka sat on his sit.

           Our  sensei came afterwards. I just focused my attention on our sensei for the entire duration of our class. As for my second class, Luckily I survived.

           The next day I was with tezuka since oishi and inui is in charge of our last practice before the kantou tournament. We were in a room with different schools to decide for our match on the upcoming tournament. Everyone is a powerhouse school represented by their captain and vice-captain. I saw kamio-kun and tachibana-kun. When I turn to the other side a very familiar back with a blue cap and  a purple hair were sitting. Tezuka and I walk on our designated place when I spotted a  familiar figure walking towards us. The monkey king with his giant.

           "Tezuka. Nice to see you here !" A too friendly greetings came from him. I also felt heads turning at us. And I was greeted by two paired shock eyes.

           "Atobe." Tezuka acknowledge him.

         "Ahn~ my princess ! You're here. What a wonderful day to start ?" He then grab my right hand then peck at the back of it. I snatched it away expresionless. "Hmm~ you're really cold like ice hime-chan. Well then." He said then bowed with his hand is gesturing for me to go ahead first.

           "Ryuki-chan !" I turned to see yukimura waving at me.

           The announcer called each and every schools. Captains were walking down picking a number to decide their opponents team.

           "Hyotei Gakuen !" The announcer called. Atobe walk down then picked their opponents number. Unfortunately, he chosed number 15. Which made us their opponent.

           "Number 15 ! Seishun Gakuen Junior High." The announcer said. Tezuka and I just look at atobe stoicly while he's grinning like a cheseer cat.

           After deiciding for everyone's opponent atobe approach us. But not just them, rikkadai also came. While atobe is busy bragging at tezuka, a smiling God child greeted me,

           "Hi ryuki-chan ! I didn't expect to see you here." I can say that it's beyond greeting. Looks like he won't let go without an answer.

           I nod at him. "Sanada. Yukimura. I must say Im also surprise by this sudden meeting." Then I bowed at them. "Nice meeting you both. Im Seigaku's manager. Just a sub for todays event." I continued. He's still smiling but his eyes now were open.

           "Hmm.. How sad ? I really like you to be part of my team too. But I guess, It will also fun to be your enemy." He smiling close eyed again.

           I just remained unfazed. Then slowly, I took a step towards him. I grab both of his hand then I smiled closed eyed then tilt my head to the right. They were all taken aback by it. "Well then... Let's all meet at the kantou tournament..." Then I opened my eyes halfly. "Everyone..." Before smiling closed eyed again. Then I walk ahead, leaving them blushing and smiling at themselves.

Third Person Pov:

           Yukimura was taken aback by her suddeness. He immediately blush at the contact of their hands. Her hands were soft and warm. When she left them, he look at his hand amusedly then smile.

           "She's really an amazing girl." He muttered smiling. "Well then.. Lets meet at the kantou tournament." He continued before striding off.

           "Interesting indeed, my hime-chan~" atobe said amiling. He bid tezuka goodbye before walking off too. Tezuka just nod to their comments then made his way outside.

           "Out of an ordinary." He muttered inside with a look of admiration.

           Seems like everyone is indeed caught by her trance. The Grasscourt Queen, Ryuki Echizen.
