Nigga We Made It

Kenya POV-

"Baby calm down your heart is thumping." I wrapped my arms around O and kissed his forehead to calm him. I was sitting in his lap, in our bedroom lounge chair.

He had went to get me a pregnancy test. I did it and it had been an hour because he wouldn't let me check it. He said give it time to be sure.

"Imma go get it." I was about to get off his lap.

"Uh-uh. Wait a little more." O held me back in his lap.

"Odell." I ran my hand through his hair. "If I'm not now, then after yesterday I'm sure I will be."

He sighed. His chest moving up and down.

"I just want it to be now ya know."
He played with my fingers. "I just want to be a father so bad. Like I feel I have so much to offer. And I've been waiting and it's like I don't want to wait anymore. I want a lil me. Minus the arrogance I had." He chuckled.

I smiled at how happy he looked. Most men run away from the responsibility of being a father. I know my dad did. But not O, he really wanted to be a dad. And I didn't want to deny him any longer.

"Well if it's what you want baby, I'll make sure it happens." I kissed his forehead. "Let me go check."

"Wait a little more." He pulled me back down.

"Baby whatever it is, is not going to change between now and an hour."

He sighed. "It's just if its no, imma be hurt."

"If it's no, we'll just try again." I kissed his forehead.

He finally let me go. I went in the bathroom. Took a deep breath and looked at the test.

I smiled super wide. I was. But I didn't want O to know yet. I wanted to do something out the ordinary to surprise him. Like a father to be party.

Yeah that's what I'll do. It would make him knowing much more exciting and it could possibly win my ring back.

Gosh I just wanted my ring back so anything little thing that could get me points I was down. Desperate I know. But O was my baby and I never wanted to lose him again. 😩

I removed my smile. And tried to put on my best sad face. Here goes.

"What it say?" He stood up in a panic.

As I was about to speak. He put his hands over his ears like a little
Kid.

"Nah I don't want to know." He paced back and forth with his hands over his ears. "Okay tell me. No. No." He walked out the room.

In my mind I was laughing. If only he knew, his wish was coming true. 🙈

"Okay tell me." He sat on the edge of the bed. I stood between his legs. He wrapped his arms around my waist and kissed my stomach and softly put his head into it.

I heard him breathing hard. What I was about to do was mean, but it would make the surprise even better.

"Sorry baby I'm not." I patted his head.
