Rachel and Bruce walked out of the lake in perfect condition. Actually they were too perfect, they showed no signs of any injuries or sicknesses. In this world they would be called "woke."
They had knowledge of everyone on earth and the meaning of life was also bestowed upon them.
But with such knowledge came with a heavy price, their eyes glowed bright yellow and red. Their feet never touched the ground when they walked towards the witch's cave.
The witch grew a smile across her pale, freckled covered face.
"What have you done to us," Bruce strained. His head twitched and his eyes color changed to gray.
"Why my darling. I convinced your little sweetheart here to go into that healing lake," the witch said. She snapped her fingers and a wooden pipe formed from a tree branch.
"T-t-trick. You tri- tri- tricked me," Rachel struggled against the effects of the lake.
"Trick? Would you have let the both of yourself die or listen to lady that saved the both of you from a demon," the witch asked. Three plants hung off of the cave ceiling. They disintegrated and all the pieces landed inside of the witch's pipe.
"I dont think y- you get it. De- death is fa- far better than- this," Bruce struggled.
"Really," the witch asked. She was surprised that someone could be some stupid and smart at the same time. Bruce's eye color changed to yellow.
"If someone else were to have these powers theyd be grateful. Not you two, shame, someone around this area has an ability too. Find him, bring him to me," the witch ordered. Bruce and Rachel's eyes grew yellow.
"Agh! Fuck you," Bruce yelled under the influence of the power of the lake.
"Go see the for yourself what the lake has bestowed upon you," the witch said. A large amount of branches grabbed the witch and carried her into the back of her cave.
