Rachel woke up, hands tied behind her back.
Bruce was beside her, almost beyond recognition. Glass and blood covered his face, naked with gashes across his body.
She felt it in her chest that no car accident could've causes that much damage to anyone.
Rachel heard something approaching her. A fire pit laid a few feet from her, Rachel crawled, and positioned herself to burn the ropes off of her.
A sharp pain shot through Rachel's arms, she stood up in a flash and immediately regretted her decision.
The ropes snapped from her wrist as Rachel felt a shard of glass in her waist.
"Fuck," Rachel whimpered.
She looked at her surroundings, Rachel heard water gurgling nearby. But she was in a cave, a cobweb, creepy filled cave.
A hand grabbed Rachel's shoulder, whipping her around, Rachel was face to face with a witch.
The witch looked absolutely gorgeous, tall, red hair, blue eyes, pale skin.
Rachel knew that woman is a witch just by her smile, her vibe was off as hell.
"Get your hand off of me," Rachel ordered, she shrugged her shoulder from the witch.
"I'm hurt, what you're not going to ask what i want from the both of you," the witch hissed.
"No. And if you don't leave me and Bruce alone you're going to end up in a ditch," Rachel said as she rolled Bruce on his back.
Silence as the witch and Rachel made eye contact.
"I'm not here to harm you abd and your lover. I resuced the both of you from that demon. I brought you to my safe haven," the witch said. A roach crawled out of her mouth and into her hair as she spoke.
The sight of that nearly made Rachel vomit.
"If you want your lover to live. I'd put him in that lake," the witch continued.
"Then why haven't you put him in there, if you're so concerned about his health," Rachel whinced. The witch looked at the glass in Rachel's waist.
A red orb floated from the witch's hand, it surrounded the glass, seconds later it was on the cave floor.
Rachel's wound began to leak out blood.
"Now you have no choice, take Bruce dip him and yourself in Lake Lanier. You'll both be healed or bleed out and die," the witch whispered.
An enormous spider crawled from the roof of the cave to the witch.
Rachel freaked out and alnost passed out, coming from a person that has serious spider issues, this was a nightmare.
The witch hopped onto the spider's back and rode it into the back of the cave. The darkness surrounded the witch and her pet leaving Bruce and Rachel alone.
"Was that a spider," Bruce mumbled, Rachel already had Bruce outside of the cave.
"Nah let's not talk about it. But right now we need to go for a swim," Rachel groaned. Her jacket and jeans were soaked in blood. Bruce looked like superman had a field day with his face.
The water was silent, but waves constantly slapped the lake's rocks.
Bruce's hands softly gripped onto Rachel's shoulders.
"Hey where are we going," Bruce groaned.
"We're going for a little swim. Just trust me," Rachel struggled. She could barely lift herself up, let alone carry Bruce on her shoulders.
Minutes passed by, Bruce grew paler and quieter.
Finally they were at the edge of the lake, Rachel looked back at the cave.
The witch stood at the entrance, her long red hair flowed down to her white dress.
"I give you my word. The lake will heal the both of you," the witch called out. An eagle landed on the witch's shoulder and handed her a letter.
"If it doesn't. I'm coming for you," Rachel snapped. With that Rachel and Bruce dove into the lake.
"No you won't," the witch whispered and with that a huge grasshopper carried her into the cave.
