Part 17: Rachel

Rachel woke up looking at the stars in the night sky. There were far too many to count. No moon, no street lights, no blaring cars. The silence was soothing yet it gave her chills.
Rachel sat up and began to rub her head.
Bruce she thought to herself, she remembered the red haired lady and a guy. Oh my god did i kill somebody, Rachel thought.
She looked around her and saw Bruce on his knees with a gun to his head.
"Who the fuck are you," shouted an Asian guy. He turned the safety off his gun.
"Wait please don't shoot," Rachel begged. She began to stand up when a woman put a gun to Rachel's head.
"You move and you die too. Now answer him," a short hispanic woman ordered.
"We were attacked. You won't believe me but a demon smashed our car and this woman saved us. We were about to die when the woman told me to go into Lake Lanier with him," Rachel said gesturing towards Bruce. "The lake healed us but something controlled us. I don't know what it was," Rachel said.
"You went into the lake and listened to a lady that fought off a demon," asked the asian guy.
"What else was i supposed to do? Die," Rachel asked.
Silence.
"How do we know that you're telling the truth. We've had an encounter with that lady too but how do we know that you're not going to fight us once we put our guns down," the hispanic woman asked.
An injured man slowly woke up.
"I saw it all happen," he said.
"James, thank god you're alive," the asian guy said.
"There is no god, according to all the shit that I've seen today. But for now, lets all lower our guard and talk," James asked.
Everyone slowly relaxed and sat down near James.
They were puzzled to find that James was vibrating so fast that his wounds started to disappear.
"Like the Flash right," James said to the asian guy.
Everyone nervously chuckled as James stopped vibrating.
"My name is Kent. This is Olivia and that's James," the Asian guy said to Rachel and Bruce.
"Names Bruce and this is Rachel," Bruce said to everyone.
"First i need to calm myself down. If anyone would like to partake in some pot let me know," Kent said.
Everyone nodded in agreement and smoked until they were baked.
"What the fuck," Olivia said.
Everyone looked at her.
"Did you guys see that shit. I know I'm not tripping," Olivia laughed.
"Yeah you probably arent. The car that you guys slammed me on is fucked up and rusted. We have no way of getting out of here. Anyone got a phone," James asked.
Everyone patted themselves down.
"Mines was in my car, which is now fucked all the way up," Kent said.
James pulled out shards of his phone from his jeans.
"Well that's a nope from me," he said.
Olivia pulled out her phone and had no signal.
"Fuck. More bars in more places my ass," Olivia hissed.
Rachel pulled out her phone.
"Holy shit I've got 4 bars," she screamed.
She began to dial 911 when her phone showed her a message that read:
"None of you will disobey the will of the lake."
Then Rachel's phone turned into dust.
"What...in...the...entire...fuck," Rachel yelled.
"Sshhh," Kent said.
"He's right Rachel. For all we know that woman could be watching us. But while we were being controlled I felt that the source of that power is someone in that lake...not just the woman from that cave hundreds of spirits live in there....walking," Bruce said.
"Yeah I could feel spirits around me too on land when we were about to kill James...so yes we can feel spirits. James we noticed that you move with incredible speed," Rachel said.
Everyone stared at James.
