Lightning struck down in a forest, making smoke rise high into the air.
Mist slowly walked to a gathering of creatures, a man was restrained by a woman on a table.
"Release him, you witch," Mist snarled.
"And if I dont," Martha asked, her knife inches away from Ezekiel's chest.
"Don't test my patience," Mist snapped, lightning wrapped around his hands.
"What? You're going to fight me and all my servants? Think realistically Mist, there's 50 of us and one you. What could you possibly do," Martha asked. She picked up Ezekiel by his throat, making him gasp for air.
"Final warning," Mist said.
A zombie grabbed Mist's arm, he quickly killed it with one punch to its chest.
The creatures slowly backed away from Mist.
"Take him, but your life for his. One of you will die tonight," Martha snapped. She dropped Ezekiel onto the ground, he slowly walked towards Mist.
"No, we won't, not now, but later," Mist threatened.
Mist grabbed onto Ezekiel and teleported themselves to the safety of the lake.

At the forest...

"Madam Martha, you just let him go," a cyclops said.
"Yes, Mist is all powerful, he could've killed us all, but with all that strength he doesn't use the one thing that's better than brute strength. His mind," Martha said.
Silence.
"Gather the army, I want every creature in my domain to prepare for a war. I placed a tracker on Ezekiel, in a few minutes I will know where Mists rest," Martha laughed.
Every creature in that group let out ungodly sounds of cheers into the night sky as they scattered into the forest.

At the lake...

"What the fuck does she want with me? What do you want with me? Answer every single question of mine, don't give me some fucking fortune cookie answer too. Your ass looks like the type of guy to do it. So please start now," Ezekiel yelled. His dreads swung across his face as he quickly paced back and forth in front of Mist.
Silence.
"Well? I mean thanks for saving me from that bitch back there. But my day started off just with a group contract, to kill a guy named Logan. And here the hell i am stuck with a lightning guy that doesn't answer, a bitch that can move plants, and a fucking forest that barely shows the fucking sun. All I want to do is get my money, buy a damn house in Hawaii, but I can't because Im fucking stuck here. Shit for all I know, my crew is probably dead, just take me home, I need a hot shower and a week's worth of sleep," Ezekiel yelled, he picked up a rock and threw it far into the lake.
"And to make matters worse, even if I do go back home, the police will kill me, because fucking Logan framed me for a crime that I did not commit! But what's getting deep under my skin? Isn't all of this bullshit to happen! But the fact that youre just standing right fucking there, not saying a damn thing to me," Ezekiel screamed.
With that he threw a wild hard punch at Mist, it caught Mist completely off guard, sending him flying through a tree.
"Holy shit," Ezekiel whispered, looking at his hands.
Mist quickly stood up, and brushed the tree bark off of himself.
"You have such untapped power, and you dont even know about it," Mist calmly said.
"Well now I do, knowing I can punch people through trees. This is badass," Ezekiel said.
"Now try that again," Mist ordered.
Ezekiel punched Mist again, but this time Mist absorbed the hit, barely moving an inch.
Ezekiel grunted and grabbed his fractured wrist.
"You're only powerfull when you're angry. I sat in silence that I let you vent. I knew that it would anger you, but seeing your power in front of you has calmed you down. Thus shutting off your ability to knock me through another tree," Mist informed Ezekiel, he slowly popped his shoulder back into place, Making Mist grunt.
A stream of water wrapped around the bone protruding wrist of Ezekiel, healing it instantly.
"Who are you," Ezekiel asked, fear began to shake him.
"I am Lord Mist, ruler of Lake Lanier. You are Ezekiel of Tokyo. Martha wants you because you know something that only a few people know about on this planet," Mist said.
"That McDonalds doesn't serve real beef," Ezekiel whispered.
Mist chuckled, "No focus, whats your one conspiracy that keeps you awake at night. The one thing that drives you crazy," Mist asked.
"That we're in a story. That none of this is real, we're just a part of somebody's imagination. We're his escape from his world," Ezekiel laughed.
Silence.
"Holy shit! Please tell me that you're fucking with me," Ezekiel said. He nervously laughed and shifted his feet.
"It is true, the author of this story is controlling everything. Now that youre awake to this situation, you have no limits as to what you can do in this reality," Mist said.
"So the author killed my entire family, let me go to jail, get shot, bullied all my life just to make me his character," Ezekiel screamed.
Mist nodded his head.
"Fuck you," Ezekiel screamed at the sky.
"Quiet, while we know this, the witch can still harm you. You are the only mortal that figured this out, you can not tell them. It will drive them insane," Mist snapped.
Silence.
"Ezekiel, promise me," Mist ordered.
"I promise. And I'll make another promise," Ezekiel said looking towards the sky again.
"I'm going to find this author, I'm going to make him suffer the way that I've suffered. I promise," Ezekiel cried.
Mist grabbed Ezekiel's shoulders, they walked into the lake, breaking the surface until they sunk below.
