Paige was lying on top of me, trying to catch her breath. After she pulled her shirt off, there was no stopping me. I idly ran my hand down her back, twisting the ends of her hair in between my fingers.
"We really need to get out of the house," Paige mumbled against my chest.
"Where do you propose we go?" I turned to look at her. We really should get out, she won't take her shirt off in public, so that should keep me from attacking her like an animal.
"Well, I probably need to go to the head quarters today. Just to show them that I'm still alive." Paige moved her head to rest her chin on me.
"Do you have an office there?" I questioned wondrously. She probably did.
"Yeah," Paige said sheepishly, a blush spreading across her cheeks.
"What are you not saying?" I smiled down at her, pulling her chin back up as she tried to bury her head in my chest.
"My office is in the penthouse. The one my parents would have if they actually did anything for the company. There's a kitchen, a bathroom, seating lounge."
"I want to see this," I smirked down at her before gently lifting her off of my chest and onto the bed.
Getting up, I pulled my pajama pants on and opened my closet doors.
"The black one with the blue print on it, it makes your eyes stand out." Paige said from my bed, her hands behind her back and her eyes closed.
"How do you know?" I laughed as I turned around to grab it out off of the hanger before slipping it on.
"You wore it to school in the beginning of the year, with light wash jeans and those brown shoes you always wear. It was hot." She replied dreamily, a small smile etched on her lips.
"The beginning of the year? How do you remember that?" I asked, dumbfounded at her great memory.
"Landon," she began, removing herself from the bed and putting on the clothes she was wearing before as she spoke, "I've had a crush on you for as long as I can remember, I notice things like that."
If she's had a crush on me all this time? Why did she avoid me in the halls? Why did she date Ryan Strickland?
"I always figured that you didn't like me. You never talked to me, so I didn't talk to you. And Ryan was the most reasonable. Quarterback, debate team.. Thinking back on it now, it sound really stupid but I thought that you didn't want to date me, so I didn't want to be weird and, um, wait for you."
I shook my head and laughed, softly at first, then a genuine laugh, booming through my room.
"Okay, okay," I said breathlessly, holding onto my knees for support as Paige scowled at me.
"No, no, I'm laughing because I thought the same about you," I walked over to where Paige was pouting and gripped her shoulders, "I thought that you hated me so I just avoided you at all costs."
Understanding flickered in her eyes and she let out a deep breath.
"Wow, we were idiots." She shook her head before removing herself from my grasp.
"I need to go to my house and change," Paige called to me from the hall outside my bedroom.
"Well let's go," I jogged out of my bedroom and leaned down to grab Paige's thighs before throwing her over my shoulder.
She beat against my back for a minute before reaching down and pinching my ass and I returned the favor.
I put her down as we neared the front door and sat down on the ground to slip my shoes on.
