"I still don't understand why they're not attracted to us," Felicity questioned.
"Shouldn't we just be happy that we still have functional brains?" I asked sarcastically.
"No, Felicity is right, omg," Miri looked stunned.
"What's wrong?" Blue asked attentively.
"I just agreed with Felicity, hey maybe you're not as dumb as I thought you were," Miri replied.
"I'm what?" Felicity stood with her hand on her hip.
"N-n-nothing," Miri stuttered.
"We just need to find something that was consistent in all four of our lives, it might help us invent some type of cure," She continued.
"Right but how can we focus with all this ruckus happening around us?" Blue asked as he jestured to the mayhem that plagued our tiny town.
"We could go back into the school," Felicity suggested.
Miri turned and smiled at her.
"Good idea, lets hope theres still some viable equipment available in the science lab, one's that hasn't been destroyed."
"Hold up, wait a minute!" I stopped everyone from walking away.
"I know you're the genius here, but just hear me out, look at that lake right there, thats where our town ends, now if their Zombied little brains figure out how to cross over that lake their headed right for the city and millions will become infected. Don't you think we should figure out how to keep them on this sort of island with us and then try to engineer a cure? Does this make sense or have I become a Zombie and not noticed it as yet?" I looked around waiting for someone to react.
"You're right P, the only way to figure out how to keep them here is to inspect the lake, lets go!" Miri yelled.
"Wait hold up!" Felicity yelled.
"Oh what is it now?!" Blue stamped his foot on the ground like a toddler throwing a tantrum.
"Relax Princess," Felicity stated sarcastically.
"Are we just going to heroically run to the goddamn lake?! Thats like ten blocks away, when Blue's car is sitting parked right there," We all turned to look.
We all murmured in agreement and began walking to the car.
Miri and Felicity began walking together alone.
"I really underestimated you," Miri confessed to Felicity and they both smiled warmly.
I was not happy about this, not at all!
