Miri and I bursted into the school and we headed for the science lab when we heard my phone ring.
"Hello?" I answered.
"Paris, it's grandma, I heard your braces are coming off today, you must be so excited now you can eat all the taffy you want!" She exclaimed.
"Grandma, now is not a really good time to talk, I'll call you back when I can okay?" I tried to get her off the phone.
"Sure sweety, oh and tell your mother to call me later, bye dear," She hung up.
Which made me realise, "Mom!" I yelled.
"What? What's Wrong?" Miri asked.
"My mom I need to call her and see if she's okay," I started dialing her number. It rang and rang until I reached her voicemail.
"Dammit!" I yelled.
"This will all be over as soon as we find a cure, okay," Miri tried to assure and I nodded reluctantly in agreement.
Meanwhile Xavier and Blue were driving around town luring the Zombies away from any exits.
"I don't mean to alarm you but I think they're getting faster," Xavier warned.
"I know, if they don't find a solution in time, they're going to catch up with us," Blue yelled.
"Come on Miri I know you can do this," Blue mumbled.
