We got into Blue's car, not surprised that Felicity and Miri shared the back seat while Blue and I sat in the front. Spending this much time with Blue has been a blessing and a curse. I mean its just not how I expected it to be, he's not how I expected him to be, he's just different... Or have I built him up too much in my head dreaming about this day?
I glanced at the sideview mirror and noticed my braces, I sighed at the sight of them.
"What's wrong?" Blue asked immediately.
"Nothing I just, was supposed to get my braces off today and now we might be in the middle of the apocalypse, I'll never get them off," I explained.
"Why do you want to them off so bad?" Blue asked as he made eye contact with me. I quickly looked away.
"Well uhh, ever since I had them I've always felt kind of like an outsider, it doesn't help that people made fun of them as well, that definitely boosted my self-esteem," I joked.
"Well I think you look beautiful," Blue stated as he made eye contact again. I smiled.
"Hey," Felicity put her hand on my shoulder. I turned around to look at her.
"I'm sorry for making fun of you all those years, I was a jerk and honestly I feel really really bad about it," She confessed.
"I know how you can make it up to me," I stated mischievously.
"Omg, how?" She asked excitedly.
"When all of this is over, help me pick out a dress for prom, I'm not really good at that sort of thing and truthfully I've always admired your style," I expressed sheepishly.
Her eyes lit up from excitement.
"I would love to," She replied.
"Guys there's the lake!" Blue yelled.
