Some people just want to watch the world burn

It was really awesome to have everyone clapping as we entered the prom. Like we were some kind of celebrities, well I guess we were since we saved this town and everyone in it.

This night could not be more perfect, we danced all night long, the five of us having the time of our lives. I even got to slow dance with my soulmate, Miri.

It was getting to that time where Principle Specter was about to announce the prom king and Queen. As soon and she stepped in the stage everyone in the room grew quite.

She tapped the mic a few times and then began speaking.

"You all know why I'm here right now on this stage," The crowd wooed.

"It's to announce the king and Queen of the prom, we've counted all of the votes and there was a couple of write ins that was not named on the ballat. And that is why weve decided to do something completely different this year, we are not exactly crowning a king and a queen, we are crowning the legends of the prom, a new idea that Mr Downey came up with."

everyone kind of stopped and looked around at each other wondering what the hell was going on. legends of the prom? Sounds abit cheesy.

Mr Downey ran onto stage and almost tripped while her did. He handed an envelope to Principles Specter and the ran off again, the school gently laughed at his awkwardly funny demeanour.

"And the Legends of the prom are... Paris, Miri, Felicity and Blue. The crows roared with excitement as we stood baffled by all of this. The people who stood around us all pushed us towards the stage and that's when I noticed Xavier being left behind.

We got to the stage and Principle Specter hung gold medals around our necks.

"And now the legends of the prom will make a speech," Principle Specter announced.

We all looked at each other to see who would go up but they all pushed me forward.

It was strange standing in front of all my peers, all those people looked up to us because of what we did and it felt awesome. There was just someone missing.

"Uhmm what we did was something that never in my life I thought I could ever do, we thank God that non of us had to do this alone, we all had each other, we wouldn't of made it if we didn't have each other, and thats is Why Xavier Alexander deserves to be on this stage with us, because he saved this town, he put his life on the line not just for this town but so that the rest of the world wouldn't become victim to this sort of plague that was created. Come on up here Xavier!" I yelled.

Xavier smiled and the whole room cheered him on. Once he joined us I felt like our group was complete.

Principle Specter came up to me and aaked if she could use the Mike to speak.

"In addition to being the legends of the prom, the people in this town all put our heads and money together to present you with gifts."

"For our pupils that are on scholarship here we award Miri and Paris with another scholarship to any college of their choice in 2018. Why 2018 you ask? Because before Paris and Miri gets to college we would like to send you two for a trip around the globe, with stays in all major cities starting with the city of Paris,"

Miri and I looked at each other with our jaws dropped! We began jumping up and down from excitement and ultimately almost crying from the amount of gratitude we felt.

"For our school's most favourite couple, we deem you the king and Queen of the prom."

Mr Downey brought in a pillow with these sparkly crowns on them, and principle Specter crowned them.

"And addition to that, you two and Xavier will join Miri and Paris on their trip!!" She exclaimed and we all went absolutely mental at the news.

We all grabbed each other and came together in a group hug. We've never been so happy in our entire lives. Although we saved this town from a Zombie apocalypse I feel like this Zombie apocalypse saved us in so many and different ways. It helped Miri come out of her shell and embrace her intelligence, it brought an amazingly humble and awesome guy named Xavier, it brought Miri and Xavier together who could not be more perfect for each other. It made Blue and Felicity realise how much they actually loved each other. It made me get over my crush on Blue and my insecurity about my braces, but most importantly it brought us all together, the five of us would have never been friends if this didn't happen and for that I'm greatfull. I'm grateful to have these amazing friends for life... And who knows, I might find a sexy perisian boyfriend on my trip.

Two days later...

"What is that?" Max asked as he caught Mr Downey hiding something away in his classroom closet.

"Uhh nothing, nothing, it's nothing," He stuttered.

"It's definitely something,"  Max replied.

"Fine but you cannot tell anybody about this," Mr Downey warned Max.

"It's the chemicals I was using that day for the experiment,"  He confessed.

"What? Why would you keep that?" Max asked angrily.

"Just for research okay,"  Mr Downey quickly shut the closet door.

"So if someone injests that mixture they'll become a Zombie?" Max asked curiously.

"Well not injest the chemicals, they chemicals will have to be absorbed by your skin while you drink a can of redbull," He explained.

"I see, and who else has the keys to your closet?" Max asked.

"Well it's just me, don't worry no one will get hold of it," Mr Downey laughed and turned around to organise his documents.

Max walked to the tiny table that held Mr Downeys giant encyclopaedias and quietly picked one up. He slowly walked to where Mr Downey stood, lifted up the book and smashed it over his head, Mr Downey fell to the floor like a rage doll.

Max put his leg over Mr Downey And reached for the keys he had in his pocket. He pulled them out and quickly walked to the closet to open it and steal the bottle of chemicals.

He lifted it up and watched as the chemicals swished from side to side.

He smiled devilishly and said, "Some people just want to watch the world burn."
