HELLO!!! So this is just a v small scene I thought of last night while re-reading this story (I'm pretty sure Lucy and Benji are my number ones lmao) It was the part where Benji was telling Lucy about how his dad put things up high when his mom was mad so she'd ask him for help. Well, it doesn't quite work on Lucy...I HOPE YOU LIKE IT!!! :) There will be another extra soon! It will be chapter 6 in Benji's point of view!

"Benji!" I yelled. "Get your ass in here!" My voice echoed through our house, hopefully reaching the stairs and into the guest room where Benji's was sleeping.
I kicked him out of bed the night before. We had a really small fight over the new bakery in town. He betrayed me and went there just to "check out the competition", but I don't think he needed to eat three cupcakes. When I thought about it, it sounded ridiculous. He betrayed Enchanted Sweets.
Upstairs, I heard Benji's footsteps and then he started walking down the stairs. He emerged into the kitchen and he looked like he was dressed and ready for the day. "You were up this whole time?" I asked.
He nodded and stuffed his hands into his pockets. "I have band practice. Now why the hell are you yelling at me again? I didn't go back to Cherry On Top."
My eyes widened. "You remembered the stupid name?" It's actually not stupid at all. It's pretty clever actually...and cute.
"So do you," he retorted.
He got me there. "I don't care," I said quickly. "Why is all my baking stuff on the top of the cabinets? And my step ladder is missing from the pantry."
Benji grinned. "I might have gotten back up after you went to bed without me last night."
I crossed my arms over my chest and glared at him. "So you thought it'd be funny to put all of my baking stuff where I can't reach it?"
Benji nodded. "And because I knew you'd need my help to get it down."
I stepped up to him and jabbed his chest. "That's where you're wrong," I told him. "I don't need your help getting it down. I can do it by myself."
"Then why did you call me down here?"
Instead of answering him, I clenched my jaw and turned around to face the counters. I boosted myself up on the counter so I landed on my knees and then I slowly stood up. As I reached up, my fingers barely grazed the top of the cabinets. "I have to make my sister cupcakes for her birthday," I said, still trying to reach, so I lifted myself up on my toes.
"Go to the bakery," Benji replied.
"You know it's closed!" I retorted, getting even more angry because I can't reach. "They're still putting in the new tile!"
Benji chuckled behind me. "Bummer."
I braced my hands on the edges and slightly pulled myself up a little more. The only thing I managed to get was my container of cupcake liners. It was a small victory that made me a little happy, but then I thought about the rest I couldn't get. And by the rest, I meant all of it including the sugar and flour. That didn't stop me from trying to get the rest.
"This is not how this was supposed to work," Benji said and placed his hand on the back of my thigh, just under my pajama shorts.
"I know," I grumbled and tried to go for the sugar. "I'm not giving you what you want."
