Chapter 15. A New Love

I hear ambulance sirens and I turn to Lucinda confused, we get up off the grass and walk into the house. I see everyone crying and Aphmau walking over to me, "Katelyn I have something to tell you and your not going to like it. Travis went into the basement and we heard something break, Dante went down and found him on the floor with a shard of mirror in his neck. He committed suicide." I know I should feel worse, but I don't. I never loved him as much as I love Lucinda, she is my everything. I feel a a few tears streak down my cheek, tears for a friend, a perverted amazing friend. I stand still, I don't know how to feel. I feel like I do feel stronger, but I'm still so confused. Before I can continue to think Lucinda kisses me and says "I have to go to the bathroom, I'll be back, love you." "YOU AND LUCINDA, IS THAT WHY THIS HAPPENED" Aphmau yelled in my face, I'm taken aback, I love Lucinda. "How dare you" I say in a growl and I slap Aphmau "I love Lucinda more than I have loved anyone before." I walk towards the bathroom just as Lucinda was leaving it , I wrap my arms around her and vow to never let her go. She hugs me like she will never again, I don't know why I will never let her go. We walk back over to the main group and Aphmau has a cut on her cheek, must have been from the ring on my finger. A promise ring, weird Lucinda didn't give this me this why am I wearing it. I take it off on the inside it says "For a life long love -Travis," I can't explain why but this gives me butterflies in my stomach. No, I need to stay faithful to the one I love, Trav... wait no Lucinda. Ugh why am I so confused right now I sit down and just try to clear my mind. A minute after I sit Nicole comes over I can't tell if she's angry with me or worried for me. "So um... Lucinda" she says in an uncertain voice, Nicole's my friend I can talk to her so I pull her outside. "I have fallen for Luci..." before I can get out anything else Lucinda comes out and says "Katelyn babe lets go inside and snuggle, I'm cold." I smile and get up not giving another thought to Nicole who is sitting on the grass with a slightly confused, shocked look on her face. Whatever, who cares what she thinks, I love Lucinda. We sit on the couch back inside and I relies that everyone else is gone besides Nicole who just walked out the door, weird but at least me and Lucinda are alone now. I lean to her and start kissing her, she wraps her arms around my neck and I lay on top of her. I start kissing her shoulder up her neck and back to her lips, leaving a trail of pick lipstick. We start kissing again and Lucinda's phone alarm goes off. She gently pushes me off looking a little anxious and guilty, she suggests we have a quick drink and she goes to grab some. While she's gone I think about how amazing she is, she comes back with two bottles of water and a shot of something a pretty shade of pick. She hands me the shot and I take it because she wants me to, after we drink out waters and decide to go across the street to my house. We walk across the street hand in hand and when we get there we decide to watch some L word. We watch for about an hour before hearing the front door unlocking, Aphmau and Kawaii~Chan walk in. Aphmau and I glare at each other while Kawaii~Chan scurries up to her room obviously not wanting to get in the middle of me and her's fight. I turn around and face the screen again, trying to be the bigger person. She scoffs at me and mumbles "I wonder how long that's going to last" and I loose it. I jump over the couch and run at her, chasing her upstairs and into her room. I go back downstairs and see Lucinda starting to fall asleep on the couch. "Come on Luci, bedtime" I half carry her up the stairs and put her down on my be and go to the bathroom to take off my makeup. When I get back Lucinda is under the covers and I see her blouse and skirt on the floor. I'm normally a pajamas type girl, but I'll make and exception tonight. I turn off the lights, take of my dress, and climb in bed with Lucinda, I cuddle her in my arms and give her a light kiss "I love you Luci" I whisper, she smile and says "I love you too Katie-cat." As soon as she says that I hear light snoring escape her. I smile as I fall asleep, the happiest I've ever been.
