Everyone was cheering, laughing, and celebrating. It was extremely loud, but honestly I didn't mind. Ellis was walking around giving highfives, and I turned to look for Jade because I wanted to give her a huge bear hug. She definitely was the mvp today. As I looked around, I didn't pick out the number 7. I walked over to Hope, taping her before waiting for her to turn. She turned and I guess noticed the troubled look on my face because her face turned serious. She took me by the wrist and guided me out of the crowd, hugging me to get close enough to talk without bringing attention. "Smile, make it look real." She whispered, and I did as told and smiled. "Have you seen Jade?" I asked, closing my eyes and continued to smile. "No, I was looking for her too." She replied, and broke up the hug to rest her hands on my shoulders. I glanced around one last time, before giving her a nod. We parted ways, and I walked over to Tobin and Morgan who were talking and laughing. I joined beside them, offering a slight smile before hooking an arm around Morgan's neck. "Have you seen Jade?" I whispered in her ear, resting a hand on the side of her head to let her lean against me in a "hug". She shook her head no, catching onto the fact that they needed to play it off. I glanced at Tobin, and she seemed to understand there was a situation. I jogged to the sidelines to grab my bag, then began to run for the locker rooms with Hope and Morgan following. I didn't stop running until I made it to my locker, Morgan running in next to me. She quickly opened her locker, and reached for her phone. "It may be nothing, but I just have a feeling." I say, also unlocking my locker to get my phone. "No, I understand. It's not like her to just up and leave so quickly after a game." Bean replied, before putting her phone to her ear. Hope walked in, looking at her phone with Alex, Tobin, and Julie following. We all sat around, hoping that Morgan would get ahold of our runaway midfielder. "Has anyone seen Kelley?" Julie randomly asked, and the few of us glanced around as Morgan began to leave a voice mail. "Hey Jae, it's Moe. The squad and I were just wondering why you blasted out so soon, and were a bit worried about you. Give a call, at least for us to make sure you're safe. Love you." We glanced around, before Alex made a call of her own to our missing defender.

I stood at the counter, purchasing 2 plane tickets to California. Kelley had insisted that she come with me, and that she knew it must be something serious and that I shouldn't go through it alone. I knew I'd end up telling Kelley about what had happened last night, but I also knew the rest of our close friends wouldn't be very happy with us just leaving. I thanked the lady for the tickets, as I turned to approach Kelley who was walking to me, looking at her phone. "Already?" I say with a slight smile, as we sit down. "Yeah, it was Alex. They're already worried about us." She said, crossing her legs as she looked around at the airport. I looked down at my folded hands in my lap, hesitating on whether or not to explain yet. I guess she deserved to know. "I trust you. And I know you care about me.. Or else you wouldn't be here." I began, taking a breath as I could see her out of the corner of my eye, turn to me. "Last night.... When I sat in the room with Carli, going over today's midfield game plan. I got a call. From my mom." I slowly continued to explain. "I stepped out onto the balcony to answer it- and she told me.... She told me, my dad. Had gone to get my brother from a bad... When they were both shot dead." I glanced up to look into my defender friend's eyes, tears forming in my own. Her mouth was left slightly opened, her eyes wide. I knew she wanted to say something, but she couldn't. I gave a sad smile, resting my hand on her thigh before looking back to my hand in my lap. It was silent for a moment, but then I turned to her. "My family is going to love you." I told her, and she gave a bit of a laugh. "What, who are you gonna introduce me as? Your punderful team mate?" She said, chuckling happily. I smirked and gave her a elbow, shaking my head. "No. I'm gonna introduce you as Kelley. One of my best friends." We shared a smile before I elbowed her again. "Let's go grab a coffee, and maybe buy some carry-on luggage." I said with a laugh, indicating the fact that we were still in uniform. She nodded with a laugh, then we were on our way to the coffee shop. After we bought coffees, we went to the small clothing store beside the bar. We walked around a bit, then she ran at me with a bright pink shirt in her hands. "This is SO your shirt!" She exclaimed, holding it up to me. I gave her a "seriously?" Type of face and she just laughed. She knows I hate pink and frilly things. And I know she hates dark colors. "Alright, I have an idea. Let's pick out outfits for eachother. But there are rules. They can't be absolutely ridiculous, and they have to at least be cute. Deal?" I say, and she smirks as she nods. "Deal." I turned and walked the other way, browsing through shirts. I found a cute army green tank top with a cream colored lace around the neck and trim. I grabbed that, and some darker green camo print skinny jeans. I grabbed a black beanie and some black high tops before walking over to the counter and paying for it. I then met Kelley over my the restroom, and we exchanged bags. We parted into separate stalls, and got changed. I put on the white slightly ripped skinny jeans, which I actually thought were cute. I then put on a crystal blue, gray and black flannel, along with gray and blue matching vans. I then put on the blue, gray and black snap back on, and fixed my hair so my bangs lay over my black lenses, and my long hair flowed down the back. I put my soccer clothes in my gym bag, before walking out to meet Kelley. She looked adorable in the clothes, and I think she liked it. I walked to stand next to her, situating my SnapBack perfectly over my black hair. I had to say, I looked and felt cute, even with my glasses. The color of the shirt made my eyes pop, and the color of the white jeans made my dark inked tattoos in my tan arms stand out. "We. Are. SO CUTE." Kelley said, jumping up and down. I laughed, and was about to say something- until... "Now boarding all passengers for flight 75. Now boarding all passengers." We glanced at eachother, before taking off in a full sprint for the gates. Luckily we made it in time, and laughed as we made our way onto the plane.
