Carli's POV
I got a call from Jade earlier this Saturday morning, I happened to be headed on the road with Hope driving, Becky and Julie in the back seat. She explained to us what had happened, and we were at a loss for words, but she told us she was handling it well. We had taken the day to head back to our families, and say hi, but had met up in California for a little road trip. We'd be meeting Alex, Tobin, Allie and Ash at a lodge, where we'd simply enjoy the weekend before heading back on Tuesday with our family. We were all now in a much better mood, both hearing from Jade, and being able to enjoy some time away. I glanced out the window, eavesdropping on the three defender's conversation. "I got a joke you guys, Becky and Julie." Hope says, glancing in the mirror at them before settling her grayish eyes on the road. "Is it another offensive blond joke?!" Julie accuses, causing me to chuckle under my breath. "Maybe- anyways. A guy gets a call from his girlfriend. She says, "Babe. I can't figure out this puzzle! It's suppose to be a tiger, but I can't figure it out!" So the guy agrees to go over to his girlfriends house, to help her solve the puzzle." I shift slightly in my seat, staring ahead with a slight smirk as complete silence fills the car except for Hope telling the story, and the background music of Dead or Alive playing. "So he goes over, she answers the door, and says "I've spread out all the pieces on the table, the box on top is what the puzzle is suppose to be when it's finished." Simple enough, so he walks inside. As he reaches the table, he pauses. Takes the box into his hands, glances between the box and the table, and let's out a sigh. He says, "Babe... Lets just take a deep breath, go have a nice glass of milk, and put the Frosted Flakes back in the box." With that, I bursted into laughter, along with Becky. The three of us were laughing our asses off, until Julie said, "I don't get it." I couldn't hold it back, I lost it. Both Hope and I laughed until we were in tears before Becky tried to explain it. It was a total loss.We arrived at the lodge. Alex, Tobin, and Allie standing outside the large building. There were two walls and a gate, that lead to a courtyard, and probably the entrance. Hope went to go park the car, then we all met up and exchanged hugs. "Where's Ash?" Becky asks, as we begin to slowly walk forward. I caught onto Alex holding out her hand as Hope walked ahead, sorta telling us to stop. We watch as Hope looks down at her phone, just as she's walking past the gate, Ash jumps out and screams "AHHHH" at the top of her lungs. "HOLY-" Hope screeched, jumping straight off the ground and landing flat on her ass. We all laughed, Ash clapping and taking a fake bow as we all simply stood there, unable to move. Hope pouted and crossed her arms as she continued to sit in the leaves, giving a glare to Ash. "Poor Hope." Alex says through laughs, as she walks to help her up. We walk to the courtyard, Ash and Becky agreeing to go check in. About 10 minutes pass, as we wait for the two to return, until suddenly, Julie randomly yelled. "OHH I GET IT- SHE THOUGHT FROSTED FLAKES WAS A PUZZLE!!" Julie laughed loudly and uncontrollably, Hope and I exchanging a glance before also bursting into laughter. The other three gave us confused glances, but we could barely breath let alone speak. "Julie's laugh sounds like goose." Tobin randomly said, making everyone laugh now. A few seconds after Tobin said that, a flock of geese flew over, squawking loudly as they flew over. "SQUACK! SQUACK!! THE SOUND OF MY PEOPLE!!!" Julie screamed, running down the gravel path after the geese, leaving us all gasping for air as she yelled, "V FORMATIOOOONNN!!!"
