Daenah and her delta, Bow were on the way back to the cabin. Bow was in his wolf form. The sunset had started, it was getting dark.
"What is it Bow?" Bow looked at Daenah and told her to get on his back. As soon as she got on, Bow ran as fast as he could. Vampires came out from where they hid and started the chase, they were outnumbered.
"How many?" Daenah asked.
"About ten," he replied through mind link.
"Faster Bow," Daenah looked to the left and saw vampires running after them. She closed her eyes to focus and mind link with Josiah, her beta, "come to me."
She was tackled off of Bow's back. But easily got up to take a fighting stance. A vampire came running towards her. She jumped to kick with both her feet, using her arms to push herself to roll forward. The kick threw the vampire off balance and she took a wooden stake from her sling bag. Bow stood beside her and growled protectively.
"We're surrounded," Bow said, "there's no running now."
Daenah looked at him and said, "we can take them." A vampire jumped at them but Bow easily tossed him away with just a swing. The others came charging all at once. Daenah pulls the vampire towards her so that they would fall on the ground, the pressure of the fall forced the stake through his chest. She rolled backwards to get back on her feet. A vampire grabbed her from behind and tried to throw her but she grabbed his arm and held on. She flips above the vampire and stab him from behind. Another vampire charged at her and she uses the vampire's momentum to flip him forward. She leaps to her stake that was pierced through the vampire's back. Then throwing it at the vampire who was just getting up. The stake went through his chest and she made her way to him to pull it out. She was surprised when she saw Bow flying towards her. Getting out of the way did not workout because Bow's body was too big that he crashed on her.
"There's more coming," he said, "I'll hold them off. Go!" she looked at him and hesitated. "Go!"
She ran as quick and as far as her feet could take her. Her abilities to run was easily caught up to by a vampire. She was grabbed and tossed. She made sure to land on her knee but the expectation to land on solid ground did not happen because she fell into a hole that was hidden under a bunch of grass. She rolled and dropped on a wooden box. She got up and examined the surroundings, back against the wall. She looked at her arm that had a cut and was bleeding. She ignores it and puts her focus on the sound of footsteps approaching her. A vampire dropped in but before he could even notice her, she had already stabbed him. It was dark, but she had trained her eyes to see in the dark. More vampires dropped in. Two of them grabbed her arm and held her up against a wall. Then a third vampire ran towards her but she managed to kick him directly on the face.
"Don't make this harder for yourself," the vampire grinned at her and got up. She was now surrounded by seven vampires. There was no escaping, all she could do now was hope that her wolves arrive soon.
"Robert," called out a vampire, "what is this?" he pointed to the wooden box. Daenah was shocked to see that it was open. She was sure that it was closed when she dropped on it. She was even more shocked when her arms dropped to her waist. She looked to her sides and the vampires holding her were gone. She walked towards Robert and stabbed him from behind. She again, took a fighting stance but then her enemies were gone. She turned to her right to see all the vampires piled up together while the other was being sucked dry of his blood by a being that seemed to be another vampire. A strong one at that. She took the opportunity to jump out of the hole and there Bow was, looking for her. She got on his back and he ran again.

They were back in the house. It was a two story house right next to a lake. It would've been a simple house for a peaceful life if it weren't Daenah that lived in it. Now it was like a fortress. Surrounded by about 30 wolves and the king's pack of 5 werewolves which Daenah was alpha of. The king could not be with her nor could he take her with him to the palace. She was not the queen's daughter. She was just the child of the woman that the king loved.
"Those vampires were obviously searching for us," Daenah said.
"No, there were too many of them for just a search party," Josiah said, "they knew where you were."
"What? How?"
"I don't know, but we have to be extra careful now. You are not to leave this house until we figure this out. Is that understood?"
"I don't get the point of me being alpha when I still take orders from you," Daenah joked.
"Daenah," Josiah growled.
"Fine. But we might have another problem."
"What do you mean?"
"There was this vampire. A very powerful one, he killed six of them in just a blink of an eye," she exaggerated, "he's the reason why I'm still alive."
"If he's a vampire then he's a threat. Don't think that he saved you. He must have had a hidden agenda."
"He fed on vampires," she said and they all went silent, "he was sucking from their veins."
"A vampire that feeds on vampires?" Emperor, her other delta spoke with a shaky tone, "Lucifer?"
"It can't be," Bow said, "I thought he was just a myth."
"Lucifer?" Daenah got curious.
"Yes, that's what they called him. One of the oldest, most ruthless vampires."
"Let's not jump into conclusions," Josiah walked towards Daenah, "where did you see this guy?"
"I reckon that he was in a wooden coffin and he came to life through my blood," she gestured to her wound in her arm.
"He's tasted you're blood?" Josiah's eyes widened and she could see how scared he was.
"Yes. Josiah, what's wrong?"
"If he's tasted your blood then he knows how to find you," Emperor panicked, "alert the wolves!" she commanded.
"Jett, Anta. Stay with the princess." Bow, Emperor and Josiah hasted to go outside.
