Lucifer was grabbed and tossed away from Daenah. The guy placed his back against Daenah and pulled her behind him protectively. She squeezed on his wrist as she pulled it up and at the same time pushed his shoulder downwards. He grunted in pain as he dropped to his knee.
"What are you doing?" he looked up at her confusedly, "I'm trying to save you here." She let go of him and he dusted the dirt off of his pants. Lucifer ran towards him ready to take a swing but Daenah got in between. He comes to a halt and stared at Daenah angrily.
"Get out of my way," Daenah presses her palm firmly on his chest.
"He's not an enemy."
"He became an enemy when he dared to touch me."
"Lucifer!" she finally got him to step back with a push. He started to calm down.
"Lucifer? You mean..." the guy spoke and Daenah turns to face him. As soon as Lucifer saw her get out of the way, he steps forward and throws a swing at the werewolf. The punch was so strong that the werewolf flew away as if he were a cannon ball. The werewolf hit a huge tree that was enough to stop his motion but the tree was uprooted.
"Lucifer!" Daenah scolded Lucifer and his smirk slowly dropped while he was clapping his hands, as if he was taking dust off of them.
"What?" he raised his shoulder and Daenah rolled her eyes irritatedly, "no hard feelings mate, we're even now." Lucifer shouted to the werewolf that was getting up.
"How could he get up easily from that?" Daenah stared at the werewolf in amazement.
"He's probably a royal," Lucifer started to walk, "follow me darling, your house is this way." Now that she was at ease, she started to become excited. She looked around and breathed in happily. She always wanted to go somewhere other than the places she had already been to. Although she was still just in the woods, it was a different part of it. She spins around as she looked up. She stops when she saw the werewolf following them.
"Umm, why are you following us?" Lucifer stopped when he heard Daenah spoke. He turns to face the werewolf that was approaching Daenah.
"Hi. My name is Ajenore, prince Ajenore."
"Prince?" Daenah raised an eyebrow, "father must've sent you then, but I thought he didn't want anybody finding out about me?"
"Father?" Ajenore's eyebrows furrowed, "you're the kings daughter?"
"Adopted daughter. Yes I am."
"Adopted. Good." Ajenore let out an exhale, "that's a relief."
"Relief?"
"Walking will take forever," Lucifer grabbed Daenah, interrupting the conversation abruptly. He carries her and disappears, leaving Ajenore behind.~~~~~
Lucifer stopped a kilometer away from Daenah's house. Daenah's eyes were tightly closed shut. She grabbed on to Lucifer closely with head tucked on his neck and her hand gripping on his ripped white shirt.
"Daenah?" she was relieved by the sound of his voice, letting out the breath that she held in from the time Lucifer started running. Slowly opening her eyes to the view of Lucifer gazing upon her with gentle eyes. She jumped off of his arms and took a second to realize that she was back in their territory.
"You have a day to convince them about me," Lucifer spoke and she turns back to face him, "I'll be back tomorrow, I have things to deal with momentarily."
"Where are you..." she was interrupted by the sound of a wush followed by a strong wind. He had left even before she could finish her question. "Well that was rude," she said to herself. She ran back towards the house and as soon as the wolves saw her they ran towards her. Josiah and Bow leaped towards her, Bow grabbing her to escort her to the house while Josiah searched the surroundings. She knew there was going to be a huge discussion as soon as she entered the house. She sat on the living room, surrounded by the kings pack and her wolf beta while Anta handed her a glass of water.
"You're probably tired," Josiah spoke, breaking the silence, "but this can't wait. What happened?"
"Well," Daenah raised her index finger, gesturing to wait while she took sips from her water. "It was Lucifer. He was trying to warn me. To warn us."
"Lucifer?" Bow and Jett exclaimed.
"So he's real? He's alive." Emperor asked and Daenah replied with a nod.
"Daenah," Josiah called, getting back her attention. "Warn us about what?"
"The vampires. They plan to attack, on the night of my ascending."
"They know when you ascend? How?"
"That part he failed to mention. He says that on a night of a witch of nature's ascending, wolves are weakened while werewolves lose their supernatural abilities. Hence, you will be unable to protect me."
"Why did he tell you this?"
"He says that he will protect me because there is something for him to gain from doing this."
"What?" Josiah scratched his eye before sitting down. "And you said 'no'?"
"Umm." Daenah took another sip of her water.
"Daenah. Tell me you said 'no'."
"I said 'no'."
"Good."
"At first."
"What!?" Josiah stood and looked at Daenah angrily.
"I am convinced that this is the only way. There is no other choice."
"Why would you trust him with your life like that? Why did you say 'yes' to this?"
"Josiah!" Daenah stood and Josiah slightly bowed in submission and so did the rest that were in the room. "He will be coming here tomorrow, and you will do nothing to stop him from entering this house. Is that clear?"
"Daenah..."
"Is that clear?!" everybody bowed more at the sound of Deanah's shout.
"Yes." Josiah submitted before he grumpily walked out of the living room.
"I'm sorry. The vampire is a necessity, all we can do is hope that this decision does us no harm." Daenah got up and walked to her room calling her wolf beta through mind link.
