My phone was peacefully placed in front of me and lay on my bed. I was scared to pick it up and check the reply then again I hardly expected anyone to reply at this time. It was midnight everyone would be sleeping well half or like quarter of the population would.
I picked up phone and reached for the bedside table. I was leaning towards it and as I was going to place it on the table, instead there was a knock on the window and when I say knock I mean someone confused a glass window for a wooden door and hit a little too loud.
Now in my defense when you're sitting in your room leaning over your bed towards a table a few inches away and you're mid air while you hear a knock on your window. It is natural to freak out.
So keeping in mind the normality of this situation I ended up falling on the floor and admiring the world upside down with the sheets wrapped around my legs and I screamed.
Maturity I own you.
In response of my super dope reaction I received laughter on the other side. Wait a minute. I know that voice. I was on the ground when I looked up I saw Alex opening my window. I just had to keep it unlocked today. He walked towards me with clear indications that he was trying to suppress his laughter. He helped me to untangle the sheets from my legs and stand up.
And the first thing he said was.
"Nice room Adam's."
"aahhh...thanks."
Cue the awkward silence...wait for a few seconds and
"Why are you in my room?"
"Because you texted me. It was only right I was physically present in this situation."
"How did you get my number? I clearly did not give it to you."
"That's because you didn't." I need a bit more explanation you dumb@** "I took it."
"Oh well that's even better now isn't it... Can you tell me how?"
"Well you sat next to me at the dinner and you checked your phone quite a lot and I might have seen you entering your password and I might have borrowed your phone for a few minutes and after I also might have taken your number and saved it into my phone."
"Geez you can be such a pain in the a** sometimes."
"Oh a big one."
"C'mon man, why you gotta say that."
"You know as much as I would love to stay-"
"Please don't."
"I should go it's pretty late and you should sleep you have a big day ahead. don't want to be late on the first day of school now do we?"
"You're talking like my aunt. Don't. It makes me want to hit you in the face."
"You want to hit your aunt in the face. Damn that's harsh."
" I never said i wanted to hit her in the face i said that you were talking like-" he stood in front of me smiling once again " you know what Jackson I'm not going to defend myself on something I did not say and you need to stop twisting my words"
"Yes ma'am!" he spoke rather loudly and abruptly
"Did you just salute?"
"I believe I did."
"Okay no. no conversation. You " i placed a finger on his chest. Which was way harder then I thought it would be, not that I purposely did this to feel his chest. I didn't. "You are wasting my time and you need to go." on that I pointed to the window.
"Do I have to use the window I could use the door. You know the passage that normal people use to exit and enter a place."
"You're leaving this house from where you entered it no if's or buts'."
"What if I fall?"
"Then you fall." I said with an evil smile.
"You are stone cold"
"I know, it's fun."
"But before I go"
"Now what?"
"I won't be getting that goodbye hug would I?"
"Not really no"
After that I turned towards the sheets on the ground and bent to pick them up as I turned around Alex was standing against the window his frame leaning towards it. He was smiling agian.
"I thought you were leaving?"
"Well yes I was going to."
"Well I urge you to proceed."
"Just one second."
With that he walked towards me confusing my already confused state of mind. He came closer without saying anything he pecked me on the cheek.
"Now I'll go."
I'm pretty sure I was gaping and my cheeks were bright red.
I stood dumbfounded trying to process that i guy as hot as Alex Jackson just kissed me on the cheek. Well maybe it's like an everyday thing for him but not for me, no man has casually walked up to me and done that. I don't really think there is a casual way of doing this but damn this just happened.
