Isn't it pretty

chapter 18 : day 9

I don't know why I do this but every day I count down to how many days I have left till its Friday. Even if it's Monday. I don't know about everyone else but this is a very satisfying technique of being willing to get out of bed in the morning. Today it's Wednesday and I really miss Friday. I lazily moved towards my closet and took a shower so I don't look like a zombie who crawled out of its grave. I blow dried my hair picked out my denim skinny jeans and my Nirvana T-shirt. I grabbed my phone and threw my bag over my shoulder.

"Good morning everybody!" I yelled as I walked to the kitchen. Just as I walked in the warmth comforted me and the smell of pancakes made me very hungry.

"Good morning honey. How'd you sleep?"

"Oh amazing." I struggled a lot as I was midway of picking up Katy and the smell was too much. If I don't get pancakes no-

"Sunshine eat up. We have to leave you took too long waking up."

"Could you ever be happy? Maybe? Sometimes?"

Cue the death stare.

"Or not. That's okay too" I sat on the table and had my pancakes well ate. Like a cavemen . I hugged everyone goodbye and Alex raced past the cars

"Whoa easy there tiger"

"Did you just call me tiger?"

"Maybe. I meant slow down"

"We would be late and something tells me you aren't so keen on that"

"Well I would prefer not going then being late and coming to class all embarrassed in front of everyone."

"Okay then. Thank me later for getting you to school. Now get out"

"Aren't you coming to?"

"I am. I just have to be somewhere first. "

I was about to say something when a car took a halt right next to us and the engine roared.

"Speaking of, that is Scott and we have somewhere to be, so sunshine please."

"Who's dropping me home?"

"I'll come back but in case you find a ride with someone else don't forget to text me I don't want to come back all the way for nothing"

"All the way from where?"

"All in good times sunshine just not now. " Scott honked again and again. I leaned over and pressed the horn continuously for a whole minute. "That shut him up." then I opened the door and walked out as I stuck my tongue out towards Scott and he chuckled. Then both the cars raced away.

I walked towards my locker to stuff my bag with books and grab my chemistry notes. I banged my locker shut only to find Ally standing right behind the door flinching at the noise.

"Oh didn't see you there, sorry"

"Yea, your buddy was looking for you by the way"

"Buddy?"

"Logan"

"Ah where is he?"

"Administration office. He's asking for you there and so is Mr. Jefferson. "

"But the bell's about to ring"

"Then just tell him to give you a pass and show the slip to the teacher now I got to go before I get detention again"

"Again?"

"Yeah I entered like a minute after the bell and the substitute was a little too strict but detention wasn't that bad because Scott was there."
