Camp Mythical

Cold

Skyler layed there sleeping on the little dock, as Andrew looked down at her gentle face; the sun just barely peeking over the water. The dock was parked right underneath a willow tree about a mile from shore. Andrew focused for a second, getting the waves to slowly push them back to the camp. As they got closer, he felt a breeze, & although it was still pretty early, the breeze was strangely chilling.

~~~~Back At Ethan's Camp, 2 weeks later~~~~
Midnight was sitting in Chris' tent, utterly bored. But she jumped up as soon as she felt something different in the air. She walked over to Chris who was still sleeping. "Hey Chris.. Wake up sleepy~," she whispered, laying her face in front of his, as she crouched in front of his bed.

He opened his eyes, not moving, but huffed. "I feel it. Mountain. Give me 5 minutes."

"Okay Chrissy, hurry up," she smiled, walking out of the tent. She waited just a bit before Chris walked out fully dressed. "I'll run us to where the snow starts on the mountain." He grabbed her hand, which was only a bit colder than his, and she took off.

Reaching the spot where the snow started on the mountain, they stopped, and Chris stepped onto the snow. One of the things Chris hadn't bothered with in quite some time, was snow. Not one of his favorite things really. But there was something here, or rather someone. The air was thin, and blistering cold. It wasn't snowing, but rather the snow was just frozen in the air. Once Midnight set into the snow, it began to fall again. They walked further, until they heard a snap, causing them to look toward it: Alert.

Midnight was the first to speak up in the silence, "Your hair is peaking out from that tree Blondie. Now come out and-"

She didn't finish her sentence, before a girl with light blonde hair stepped out. Pale skin, and light eyes. Her outfit was considerably interesting, at least to Midnight. Her voice was soft when she spoke, "My name is Alyssa." Midnight was stepping closer to examine the girl, when a gust of freezing wind blew her back. "Sorry I-" she quickly shouted, "You scared me. I'm looking to join the camp they say is around here. They say its a place where magical beings can go and well... Socialize... Camp Mythical."

"We know where it is. But how do you know about it?" Chris asked, clearly not pleased.

"I already told you my name is-"

Before she could continue speaking, something smacked the back of Chris' head."Really Destiny?" He asked irritated.

Destiny walked over, looking at the girl. "I can take you to the camp. Your tent is already set up. Give me a second and then hop on," she instructed as she ran and jumped out into her massive white wolf. She walked over to beside Alyssa, and nudged her.

"Oh. Nice coat," she awed and pet the fur. Chris came behind her and lifted her onto Destiny's back. "Oh thanks."

~~~~Back At Camp~~~~
Everybody was chatting around the center of the Camp. Julia sat between Blue and Jay, and Skyler sat beside Andrew.

"Yep, there's going to be a new camper coming today. I sent out Destiny to go get her," Julia announced.

"So it's a her?" Jay asked grinning. "Finally another girl."

Everybody's head turned as a loud howl came with the sound of Destiny getting closer. It was a blur of white as the stopped right in front of the new tent. A soft lilac coloured tent marked with an off-white flag with a lapiz gem on it. Julia, of course was the first to jump up to greet the new girl, as Jay helped her off of Destiny. The others remained where they sat.

"Thank you~" Alyssa said sweetly. They all walked over to where the rest sat. "I'm Alyssa, and well, my magic is simply chilling."

"Snow?" Andrew asked.

"Oh of course!~" she replied laughing sweetly. "But a cute guy like you must be the son of.... Poseidon?"

He nodded laughing slightly at her comment. Everyone else kept on talking with her, but Skyler wasn't too pleased. She stood up and began walking to get some stuff from her tent, then walked off to a spot in the forest. She walked deeper, until she found a nice tree, and climbed it. She began to draw, and sing to herself. "I am tired of this place. I hope people change. I need time to raise what I gave away. And my hopes they are high, I must keep them small. Though I try to resist, I still want it all..." She kept on singing until she got bored, and then she just lay in the tree. It got darker, and darker, and she just stared at the sky. That was until she heard steps, and she sat up alert. She also heard voices. Andrew and Alyssa.

"So, that girl, Skyler, is she your girlfriend?" Alyssa asked innocently.

"Well.. No... I-" he began.

"That's too bad. You know.. your really are quite cute." She said softly, standing in front of him.

"You're really cute too," he said chuckling.

She had him backed up against one of the trees now. Silence. She put her hands on both side of his head, and leaned in to kiss him. Tears formed in Skyler's eyes, and her vision was blurring. Everything they were saying became mumbles to her. She closed her eyes tight, then opened them, her sadness turning to anger. She jumped from the tree, and ran. Ran and ran and ran. She wasn't going back to camp though. Before she knew it though, she was at Ethan's camp, and she looked around helplessly. Ethan noticed her, and she ran towards him. He opened his arms, and she ringed her arms around his neck, crying. She just let everything out. She hadn't really cried in forever.

"It's alright Sky. I got you now. Just let it out," he whispered in her hair.

"E-Ethan.." she spoke in between sobs, "Andrew's.. Such... An ass..." She put her forehead on his chest as she steadied her breathing. "I'm sorry I got mad at you..."

"It's alright Skyler.. Don't worry, that was my fault.. Just stay here with me tonight, okay?" Ethan whispered to her. She nodded on his chest, causing him to smile. He understood she didn't want to go back to her camp right away, and he wasn't going to make her. "Hey Sky?"

"Hmm?"

"We can't stand here forever love."

"Why not?"

"Because I said so," he laughed. Picking her up off the ground, he carried her to his tent, and setting her down in his bed. He hopped in beside her happily. They stared intently at each other for a bit in silence. He traced her face, before giving her a soft kiss. "You're so darn cute," he whispered.

Skyler looked away shyly, blushing. "When you say thing like that, and stare at me the way you do, I feel..."

Ethan gently moved her face back to face him, kissing her. He kissed her cheeks, her nose, and all over her face. She laughed, pushing his face away. "Skyler.. Why were you crying when you came here?" He asked softly.

She froze, her smile fading. "Ethan.. Let's sleep... I'm tired..." Skyler replied, her voice slightly cracking. She turned around on the little bed, facing the wall of the tent.

"Sky..... Alright then, night Love," he whispered in her ear.
