Camp Mythical

Oh No

Skyler had stayed in the forest that night. She saw no use in going back to the camp for now. She had a changed into some jeans, a long sleeve T-shirt, and a pair of boots. Fiddling with her bow, she leaned against a tree as she waited for Julia.

The sound of footsteps neared, along with what sounded like shuffling of some material. Julia walked in front of Skyler, and handed her a winter coat. "You're going to need that, seeing as the temperature up on those mountains is in the negatives."

Skyler took the jacket and slipped it on. "So are we going to walk there?"

"Thank heavens no. We're flying." Julia responded, and massive white wings slowly unfolded from her back. "Give me your hand. Oh, remove your weapons and you can hold them in your other hand."

Skyler did as she said and Julia flapped her wings quickly, and flew off the ground, as Sky dangled below her. It was a good ten minute flight at the speed Julia flew. Skyler scanned the montains, and then she looked up at Julia.

"I'm going to let go, and then you have to grab my feet. I think I see something." Skyler shouted as Julia hovered. She gave her no time to respond before she let go, and quickly began falling. 10 feet. 20 feet. 30 feet, and then she was yanked back by Julia.

"You're insane, you know that?!" Julia screamed.

"Yes. Yes I do." Skyler grabbed her bow and an arrow, and pointed directly near a tree covered in snow. She let go and the arrow streamed down to the snow. A loud annoyed shout came from below. "I found her."

Julia dove down to the mountain, and Skyler let go right before they reached the ground. Julia let her wings drag behind her as she ran to Raven shouting, "You're okay!! I thought for sure you were dead!! Now why didn't you try to come back?!?"

Skyler walked over to Raven and knelt beside her. "She has anti-magic cuffs. She couldn't do anything if she tried. Especially since the cuffs are tied to this tree." She pulled some thing from one of her necklaces and placed it in the lock of the cuffs, causing the lock to immiedatly open.

"Thank goodness," Raven said, running her wrists. "Those things hurt like hell. But, that necklace... That's what they're looking for. I can see you're wearing two, and not the one with the heart, but the other one. The one you just pulled that key from."

"Why do they want this necklace?"

"Because it holds power. You can't simply destroy it, but they depend on it. The girl you all met, Alyssa, she works with those who depend on it. She has become so close with them that she has practically become part of them." Raven explained.

"I found it in the forest..." Skyler paused and stared at the ground for a second. "W-We will be prepared to fight. I'll make sure everything turns out okay. In fact, I can do training sessions back at Ethan's camp. Bring everyone over to his camp as soon as you get back. Raven can create a portal for me to get there and then both of you can portal over after you get the others."

Raven nodded, and created a portal for Sky to hop through. She dove into it from where she sat, and then Julia and Raven followed after.

Skyler stood inside the training building beside Chris as Julia and the others walked in, all in comfortable workout clothes. They came through a portal, but Raven was nowhere in sight.

"Okay, so we are going to work on fukl combat. That means weapons, magic, and just simple hand on hand. Chris, a beach please." Skyler instructed, as Chris created the terrain. "This is where we will fight when they come to get their precious artifact. We cannot have that happening, but we have an advantage. We can train for the area, whereas, they cannot. There are weapons on the wall. Now, come at me, and don't hold back"

They all exchanged glances, and Skyler stood there with her arms crossed. Blue had already been fiddling with some of the weapons, and now had a katana in hand. He ran toward her, but she unsheathed one of her daggers to block it. He moved the katana and lunged for her side. Again, she stopped him.

"Is that all you got? Come on everyone, give me a challenge." Skyler scoffed.

"Already done. I was merely a distraction." Blue smirked. "Keep up."

Skyler narrowed her eyes at him, then noticed a massive ball of water barreling straight at her. She dove and rolled to the left, her dagger still in hand. "Nice try. Who's next?" She said jumping up. "How about..." She turned around quickly, kicking Jay in the chest. "That was a horrible attempt at a sneak attack."

"But this isn't," Andrew shouted and quickly shot her with multiple bullets of water from behind her. Each one turned out to be steaming hot water, and flew at her with immense force.

Skyler clenched her teeth for a second. She ran, jump kicked Jay, and swiftly landed facing Andrew. "That was a bit better, but still needs some perfecting.. Why don't you try it again Water Boy?"

He started shooting more water at her. For Skyler, time seemed to slow down. She raised her hands quickly, and her eyes glowed as a sort of sheild formed, then time went back to normal. She moved her hands quickly to reflect everything that Andrew threw at her. Her eyes continued to glow, as she changed the sheild into a sort of levitating board, which she hopped onto.

"That's unfair!" Andrew shouted at her.

"Not in a battle," Julia laughed, as her wings fanned out and she flew up to be at Skyler's level. "Let's test her now!"

Skyler stopped, quickly making the board do a 360 to see she was surrounded. Her eyes widened, and her mind went racing. Multiple knives, hard gusts of wind, and strong forces of water were flying at her at remarkable speed. She kneeled on the board, and allowed everything to hit her. It seemed to caused a flurrie of dust around her. They stood back in disbelief.

'She just stood there as we hit her that hard?!' Andrew thought, and was immiedatly worried. Once the dust cleared, Skyler was face down on the ground, unmoving. "Sky!" He ran over to her and knelt to the ground.

"Back up idiot," Chris snapped from the back. The scene around then slowly dissolved, and Chris' eyes went back to their normal red. "Just give her a second."

One second. Two seconds.

Twenty seconds. Thirty seconds.

Silence...

And then.... more silence.

A full minute.

"Oh no... No no no no no..."
