The marriage!

Chapter 12

Jassmin's POV

Times flies really fast and i have completed my exams. Yesterday my parents told me that they have fixed date for our nikkah (wedding) and it's next month. I can't wait to get married but i am sacred, i am not sure if i am ready for life after marriage. Yusuf has been texting almost every single day and we got to know each other better. My mum called up our relatives and told them that my nikkah is one month away. So that means we have more shopping to do. Aisha hasn't been really talking to me much and it really makes me worried because i want her to be my side during the nikkah and it hurts me when she ignore me, she doesnt reply to  my messages nor attend my phone calls. So  i have decided to go over to her house today.

I went to take a bath and prayed my Zhur prayers and left the house. I wallked towards aisha's house. It took me 15 minutes to reached her house. I knocked on the door and her brother Amin opened it. The moment he saw me there was sadness in his face. He quickly called his mother and he didn't say any Salam either which is very rare of Amin. I told Aisha's mum that I need to speak with her but her mum told me that Aisha is in no mood to talk to anyone. But I was stubborn and I went to Aisha's room. I knocked on the door. It was opened by my Aisha the only best friend I trust.

"Jassmin, why are you here ? Shouldn't you be shopping for your wedding ?"

" Yes , Aisha but I really want my best friend to be with me during my wedding. Why are you ignoring me? What did I do ?  You didn't reply to my message or didn't even bother to call me back ? What happened and why are you avoiding me ?"

" Nothing . Is just that I don't wish to disturb you ! "

" What do you mean by that ? Do you think I don't know you well enough ? Now tell me what's bothering  you please?" With a tear that escaped my eyes. I really need to know the reason on why she was avoiding me.

" JASSMIN! CAN YOU PLEASE LEAVE ME ALONE ! YOU WANT TO KNOW WHY I AM IGNORING YOU RIGHT ? FINE LISTEN CAREFULLY, YOU KNOW WHAT MY BROTHER HERE LOVES YOU AND YOU ARE MARRYING HIS CLOSE FRIEND! I DONT WANT TO BE FRIENDS WITH YOU ANYMORE BECAUSE YOU WERE THE ONE WHOM HURT MY BROTHER TO THE MAX . NOW CAN YOU LEAVE ? "she shouted. This is the first time i have seen Aisha being angry too much. I took a while to process my things but decided to leave Aisha alone first.

Without saying anything I left her room and when I went into the living room I saw Amin. What Aisha said just now hit me. Did he really love me ? Just as I was about to go out of the house Amin called my name.

"Jassmin, can I speak to you for a while ?"

"Sure Amin."

"Jassmin you know that I love you since  young and I heard the conversation between Aisha and you ! I am sorry and I knew you love Yusuf alot. I will try to move on with my life. Don't worry about Aisha I will talk to her ."

"It's okay.... And thanks for understanding me." I left Aisha's place after that.

Yusuf Pov

I am tired nowadays. Can't seem to focus on my work either. What's happening to me ? This headaches are killer to me now. No use of the medication I take. It doesn't seem to work. Probably shall visit a doctor soon.

My wedding is in one month time and I can't wait for he to be mine. I have been going crazy. Maybe that's why I am having headaches. Oh gosh... It's unbearable. Let me call my father's friend who is a doctor to get an appointment.

"Hello is it Uncle Omar?"  I asked the moment that called was answered.

"Yes I am Omar speaking who is this on the line ?"

"As salaam kalium uncle Omar I am Yusuf speaking."

"Walaikum salam Yusuf, what the matter?"

"Uncle Omar can I get an appointment with you. I have been having frequent headaches and also lately I am feeling very tired and loss of concentration in my work. I would like to get a check up done. "

"Sure how about today afternoon is it okay for you ?"

"Yes uncle it is.... Jazakallah !" With that I hang up the call and return back to work.

Amin POV

After talking to Jassmin I went to see my sister and was shocked when I saw he crying.  "Aisha, why are you crying ? It's okay. Relax and leave it to Allah to decide. I am sure he has plans for everyone . But you shouldn't have told Jassmin that and she seems very hurt. Just be normal to her. Like I say Allah has plans for all of us ! " I confronted her.

I hugged her and she cried into and wet my shirt. we were like that for about ten to fifteen minutes and Aisha fell asleep. I am grateful for having such a sister who is never mature. I left her room and went to the prayer room to pray. After all, He is the only one who can help me in my problems. He knows the best !
