Amin's POV

I woke up to found Jassmin playing games on my Iphone.

"Jassmin." I began and she looked at me guilty.

"Sorry!" She said handing me back my phone.

"You told me that you would play only three games but not for the entire one hour. Can I get you an IPhone? "

"No I don't want , I am happy with my blackberry phone. I just borrowed yours to play Flappy bird. " She said.  She borrowed my phone to play Flappy Bird after Fajr.

"Okay can i at least get you S7?"

"No, i am happy with my blackberry!" She said again.

"Fine didn't you sleep? You are going to be really tired today." It was our the day of our Walima.

"Actually, i don't like sleeping with my wet hair." She tossed her hair behind her back. "Besides i had enough sleep. Yesterday we slept quite early." She said.

The day before Walima, Jassmin began missing her family. Jassmin spent some time with her parents. She made everyone take a walk in the park during the cold weather.

"Are you looking forward to today? Jassmin" I asked shuffling closer to her.

"Maybe I am looking forward to wear my gold dress! I can't wait !"

"And guess I can't wait to see you in it? " She frowned at me when I said this.

"Oh Wow, so you are trying to say that you don't like me how I am now, and that I have to dress up in order to impress you right?" She got pissed off I guess.

I smiled and walked towards her and took some of her hair, spread it across her face inhaling its scent.

"I like you for who you are Jassmin." She blushed and this was my first time seeing her blush. "You look cute when you blush."

She went to comb her hair. I sat up and watch her combing, her beautiful hair. I reached for my phone.

"My battery is nearly dead!"

I liked how Jassmin started to speak to me. Within a week, she  started to open up and it felt, the more she open up, the more we got closer.

I got up from my bed. As soon as i got up, i felt pain in my ankle, i think this was due to the walk from the park yesterday.  I walked towards Jassmin, trying my best not to limp. I stood closer to her and she became stiff.

"Do i make you uncomfortable?" i asked.

"No ! What makes you think like that?"

"Nope, i thought you didnt like me being close to you."

"Nonsense, i just have to get used to this. It's all new to me."

"Well it's new to me as well."

"Yes true enough, i think we are acting to these new feelings differently." she said.

"Did you just say that you have feelings for me?" i asked but she didnt reply. "Well in that case, i will take it as a YES!" she looked away. "You look cute and beautiful!" she rolled her eyes after hearing this and tied up her hair into a bun.

"Well, what do you want for breakfast?" she asked me.

"I dont know, let's make breakfast together."

"Okay" she said.

"I will join you soon!" i told her and made my way to the bathroom and she made her way to the kitchen.

I walked in to the kitchen after getting ready and found Jassmin looking for something in the drawer.

"What do you need?" i asked her.

"I am looking for oats." she said struggling to remember. I took one out of the drawer and pass it to her. "Thank you. So what do you want?"

"I dont know. I think i will pour myself some cereal."

Just then, my mum came into the kitchen. "You are up early." i said feeling quite surprised because my mum usually wake up around 10.30am.

"Well, it's my son's Walima! And we have so much work to do! Jassmin darling, could you make me an omelette?

"Sure mum." she said.

Once we were done with breakfast. Aisha came and took Jassmin to her room. I took an opportunity to massage my ankle.

"Is it painful? Do you need painkillers?" My mum looked at me with concern.

Jassmin was getting ready in Aisha's room and i won't be able to see her till she's done. When we got closer to the time for Walima, i went to the hall, just to make sure that everything is going on smoothly.

Then i went to the masjid to pray and went home to see Jassmin. It was time for me to put on my suit. I got ready and stood outside Aisha's room.

My heart was beating louder and faster and felt eager to see my wife. "You can go in now!" Aisha said to me. I went in and close the door behind me.

"Amin you look handsome." she told me.  "You look breathtaking!" i said, letting my breath out that i had been holding. We stared at each other. Then i pulled her into a hug. Instead of pushing me away like usually she does, she hugged me back. WE spent some more time together until my eyes fell upon the clock on Aisha's wall.

"Faster put on your hijab, we are going to be late. I think the guests should arriving soon!" i told her getting up. We got into our car and began to make our way towards the hall.

Jassmin spoke as i was driving the car.

"Amin i am sorry for everything. I have done wrong."

"Don't be silly jassmin, you have done nothing wrong." i said.

"Yes, i have. During the first day of our wedding , i took your covers from you at night, then i accidentally hit you then i burnt your food that i was preparing and now i know i made your ankles hurt like hell. I am so sorry!" she said, close to tears.

"Jassmin, don't you know that's what makes you beautiful?"

"Isn't that a song?"

"I know that there's a song goes like that." I laughed. Jassmin is always like this, she would begin talking about something seriously then go off the topic and talk about something else that is completely unrelated.

"Jassmin."

"Yes?"

" I think you need to stop stressing. You do that too much." i said.

Finally we reached the hall. "Let me open the car door for you this time, Okay?" i got out and ran to the other side opening the door for Jassmin. I held out my hand and closed the door behind her. As we began to walk, Jassmin stopped me.

"You are limping. Hold on to my arm if it helps."

"I am fine."

"No, it's okay hold onto me. " I did as she said and I held her arm. The girls from Jassmin's side rush towards us and hugged her. They began to compliment her. I stood on the side wondering if i should walk away or stay there.

"I will see you soon in sha allah Jassmin." With that i walked towards the men's side of the hall looking back at Jassmin, She always fill me with joy.
