A girl roamed the halls of the school with flowers in her hair.
Bright eyed and always smiling. The flowers in her hair only made her look happier.
You could've said she was popular, she was kind to everybody.
She never worried about herself, only others.
Since she didn't worry about herself, others didn't worry about her.
That's why nobody noticed when the brightness in her eyes dissipated.
Because she kept smiling and laughing, the others smiled and laughed along with her.
Yet the smiling and laughing was fake. Again, the flowers in her hair made her look happy.
She turned away from her peers, and since nobody worried about her, they didn't notice.
No more smiling and laughing. She spoke to almost no one. Yet, the flowers stayed.
Months went by, and she soon became a social outcast.
Everybody had forgotten about her,
And that's why nobody noticed when she wasn't at school.
Until it was too late.
What a weak, short poem, but I tried. It's short but it carries a message. What I mean by this poem is I want you guys to look past what someone displays to the public, their happiness could be artificial. Someone could be struggling, and the only thing they need is someone to care about them. So go out and be kind to everybody, you never knows who needs it. Stay beautiful!
