chapter 9

I woke up and Ryder was a sleep next to me . His arm was wrapped around me . I slowly moved his arm and quietly left my room . I looked at the time and it was 7:35 . I had told Shawn I would try to go to his house so I changed into my tøp shirt and my adidas pants and brushed my teeth . I put my hair up in a modest bun and walked downstairs . Aaron sitting on the couch watching tv . "um hi , can I go to my friends house ?" I asked . "um what time are you gonna be back ?" he asked "around like 9:30 - 10" I guessed . "okay but be back before ten it's a school night " he said "okay" I walked to the front yard and texted Shawn to come pick me up . Cameron was outside playing basketball with some of the neighbors . he came over to me and sat down on the grass next to me . "hey I'm sorry about earlier ... I know it's not my business between you and your boyfriend." He said "no I'm sorry , I didn't mean to get mad at you its just ... I don't know I'm sorry . Thanks for caring about me though" I said . He smiled at me "your welcome . And you did really good at driving today , are you sure you've never driven before?" He laughed a little . "thanks and yea I'm sure " I smile . "Well I'll ask Aaron is I can take you to driving lessons so you can get your permit ." He said "wait seriously ?" I asked . "Well yea I mean you do need to learn how to drive" he said . I laughed a little "yea I guess that's true ." Just than Shawn came . Cameron got up than helped me "Thanks" "no problem" he said and we walked to Shawn's car . Shawn got out . "Sup" "yo Shawnyy" Cam said "you ready Aves ?" "yes sir" I replied than hugged Cameron "see you later" he said . Shawn got back in the car and they waved . I got in the passenger seat and Shawn drove away . "I have to tell you something but you can't get mad" I roll my eyes "oh great" "promise Avery" Shawn said . "Just tell me" I laughed . "Well kelly is coming over too" he said . I sigh "yayy" I say sarcastically and put my feet up  . "I know I'm sorry I should have told you I just wanted you two to hang out " he said "yea whatever" I took my phone out of my pocket and put the volume higher on the radio . Stressed out was playing and I silently started singing along . I saw I had a text from Blake

me : I'm with Shawn lets go somewhere tomorrow
Blakey 😻🔐 : nah babe lets go now I'm bored as hell
me : fine than come pick me up in 10 but I look like crap 🙄
Blakey 😻🔐 : oh shut up you never do bbyg
me : lol your funny see you soon baby

"hey Blakes gonna come pick me up" I said . "Dude really ?" Shawn rolled his eyes . "Well I'm not trynna third wheel over here" I laughed "oh shut up" he laughed too and we got to his house . We walked inside his house and to his room . His mom and dad werent home right now . Aliyah came into his room "heyyy bestfriend " she said "oh my gosh bestfriend!!" I said and hugged her . "I haven't seen you in forever " she said hugging me back "I know I miss you ! " I said "I miss you too ! It's all Shawn's fault that I haven't seen you " she laughed and rolled her eyes "ughhh everything is always his fault " I laughed "woah guys it's not me !!" Shawn said defending himself laughing . "oh shut up loser you ruin everything " Aliyah said "like remember when it was my birthday party and you left the ice cream out and everything melted or when you tripped me in front of my crush in the eighth grade and he never talked to me again or when ..." "okay those were accidents" he interrupted me and was laughing so hard . "Well still your suck at everything " Aliyah said "you guys are mean " he rolled his eyes "just kidding Shawny" I laughed and jumped in his lap putting my arms around him "sure you are" he smiled . "she's not she's just saying that so you can give her merch still" Ailyah said and I nodded . Just than there was a knock at the front door "oh I think that's Kels" Shawn said and took me off his lap and ran downstairs . I rolled my eyes and got my phone out to see if Blake was here "you don't like her huh ?" Ailyah asked . I sighed "promise you won't tell Shawn " she nodded "to be completely honest i don't , I feel like she's gonna hurt Shawn really bad"  I said "me too , I don't like her . She doesn't seem like his type , she's to stuck up and mean for him " his little sister said "I know but I can't say anything because he puts up with Blake for me so I have to try " I said and put my phone on Shawns bed because Blake still wasn't here . Shawn and Kelly came upstairs . Kelly was wearing a crop top that was a little above her belly button and some really short shorts with sandals . "hi guys " she gave us a fake smile like she was already annoyed that we were here "hi" I said but Ailyah just walked out of the room . "Blakes almost here " I lied . "oh okay , maybe he can stay " Shawn said but I know  he didn't mean it "no thanks " I smiled . "Oh okay " Shawn say on his bed and Kelly say on his lap . I inwardly rolled my eyes . I know she was being like this to get on my nerves. "Shawny want to go get me something to drink babe" she smiled sweetly at him . "sure " he nodded and than left after she got off his lap . When she was sure he was gone she turned to me and gave me a disgusted look "why are you even here " she said and crossed her arms . I pretended not to here because I was trying for Shawn . "your outfit is cute" I said trying to be nice . "ugh just stop trynna pretend around me okay ? there's no way I'd ever be friends with white trash like you . you can go with your crappy boyfriend and stay out of Shawns life . I don't get why he is even friends with someone like you . " she rolled her eyes . "you know what you b ... " I stopped when I heard Shawn coming back . "here's your water babe " he said and handed it to her "thanks baby " she smiled and kissed his cheek . "So you guys getting along good ?" He asked nervously . "Totally!" Kelly said but Shawn was looking at me . I forced a smile "Yea , your girlfriend is really nice " I said . He let out a relieved breath . "That's good . I'm glad you guys are getting along " I looked at my phone and say Blake texted me that he was here. "Hey Shawn imma go " I said getting up "okay I'm gonna walk you out " "no it's okay" I said . "No imma go" he got up and followed me.  I said bye to Ailyah before we walked outside . "Hey Avery thank you so much for everything" he smiled at me . I smiled back "yea for sure , as long as your happy I'd do anything " "your the best friend anyone could ever have Avery I'm so happy I know you " he hugged me "bye Shawn ." I hugged him back "love you " he said walking back to his house "love you " I said than walked to Blakes black truck . "hey smexy" he said and kissed me "hey babe" I said and he started driving. "What's up ?" He asked. "I hate Shawns girlfriend , she thinks she's better than me because she actually has a family" I said . "ah come on baby your gonna let trash like her  get to you " he said and put his hand on my thigh and kept the other on the wheel . "Well no , but it's just she annoys the crap outta me but I gotta like her for Shawn ." I said . "And I can't say anything because he's happy and I don't want to be the one to ruin it ." I sighed . "Your not gonna ruin it , I mean you guys have been bestfriends some elementary school " He said . I laughed "true " he squeezed my thigh and than parked . We were at a little alley by abandoned warehouses . We got out of the car and started walking . We always came here and talked . We sat at an old random table and some chairs that was there "so how's Ryde?" Blake asked . "He's good he's getting along good with Aaron , how's lily ?" "doing okay , homes really tough for her and I'm trying everything I can to make it good but ya know how it is" he shrugged . "yea ... her and Ryde need to hang out soon , he really misses her " I said . "Yea Lily misses him too . She hasn't been to school in a while. " "wait why ? Is she okay?" I asked concerned . "well she's actually kinda sick right now . It's not bad but I stay home with her and take care of her . " he said . "tell her I hope she gets better soon and as soon as she is were gonna take her and Ryder somewhere . " Blake smiled . "for sure baby" I smiled too . "I like your new hair " I said as i ran my hand through his hair. "Thanks , you needa dye yours silver and purple too ." He said ruffling my hair . "nooo Babe" I playfully pushed his chest . "Come on you'd look great with it ." He said putting his hood on . "I'll think about it " I smiled and looked down . "aye babygirl smile" "what?" I said and looked up . I heard the sound of when you take a picture and rolled my eyes . "Let me see it " I tried to grab his phone and Blake was laughing so hard . "babe!" I yelled and he gave me his phone . "oh my gods I look terrible !!" I yelled why'd you post it !" I complained . "cause you look hot" he said while still laughing . "Blake it's not that funny" I said while trying not to laugh . "Ah come in yes it is" he said and smiled at me . I rolled my eyes "imma get you." "Oh really ?" Blake raised his eyebrow. "yes sir" I nodded my head . he smiled and kissed me . "okay now for reals I want a picture of you though" he put his phone up . I covered my face with my hand so he wouldn't get one . "I was gonna go the flower filter on you" he said and I laughed a little "oops my bad" I smiled innocently. "Okay I wanna picture of you Blake" I said and went on snapchat . I took a picture (one above) "aw baby you look cute!" I showed him . "send that to me I look hot as fudge " "your conceited " I laughed and he winked at me I posted it saying "with my bby today (:" than sent it to Blake "I heard your moving schools " Blake said . "yea , after this school year" I replied . "what school?" "I don't know yet but I think it's gonna be your school" I said a little happy . "Oh Aves that's cool! We can graduate together !" He smiled "I know I'm so happy ! We've been wanting this and know it's finally gonna happen !" I said . I was happy but at the same time I wasn't . I wanted to graduate with Shawn and Abbie and Janelle and Jayden . I guess Connor too , I wanted to graduate with my squad but at least I get Blake I thought . I looked at the time it was 9:40 "oh my god I have to go home !" I said and got up . "wait why ?" "Aaron said I had to be home by 10" I said and started walking. Blake caught up and intertwined our fingers . "Babe slow down were gonna make it " he laughed . "I'll slow down when I'm there ." I turned and smiled at him. we got in the car and drove to my house . The whole car ride home we just sang to our favorite songs and messed around . we got to Aaron's house before 10 cause Blake was driving way to fast for life . "Aye imma sneak up to your room " Blake smirked. "hah your funny baby , Ryder and Shawn would kill me. " I said and kissed him . "love you baby " he said than kissed me again "love you too" I smiled than walked inside the house .
