I slowly get out of bed when I hear my alarm . Today's the last day of school . It's been two weeks since I broke up with Blake and I'm miserable. I wash my face and brush my teeth . I go back to my room and Shawn's sitting on my bed. "hey Aves" he said . "hi" I said and went to my closet . I pulled out my white Halsey sweater and my black ripped jeans . I quickly got dressed and put on my all black converse . I went to the mirror and put a little bit of makeup and put my (newly dyed) black hair with red tips into a ponytail . I went in front of Shawn "how do I look ?" I asked . "hot . now we gotta go" he got up and he picked up his backpack but I wasn't gonna take mine cause who does on the last day of school ? I grabbed my yearbook & we said bye to Ryder and got in Shawn's car "want Starbucks ?" He asked as we started driving . "Duh" I laughed and went on my phone . we got there an ordered . I got an iced coffee and Shawn got his green tea . me being basic took a picture of him and my drink before we drank some and edited it . we finally got to school and got out . "excited it's the last day ?" he laughed "no" I said and smiled "I have to graduate by myself next year" he slipped his hand into mine "don't worry you'll be fine" he gave my hand a reassuring squeeze and we went to the spot were we meet up with the rest of the squad . Janelle came up to us "Shawn get your hands off my girlfriend" she smiled and hugged us . we all laughed and said hi to each other "no Starbucks for me Aves that's jacked" Jayden said "I didn't pay it was Shawn" I said holding my hands up in defense "wow Avery thanks" Shawn playfully hit me and I rolled my eyes "your welcome" the bell rang and we all walked to class . me , Shawn , Janelle & Abbey walk to class . We walk in & there was a sub , frick yea I thought as we sat down . we all pulled out our phones a the sub was taking roll . I finished editing the picture & posted it in Instagram w the caption "real bestfriends get each other Starbucks (; @shawnmendes" the whole period we just made plans for the summer . I was actually really excited it was the summer of our senior year. one more year in high school and I was determined to make the best of it . "hey Avery smile" i looked up at my phone & Janelle had her phone out I smiled and she took a picture of me Shawn she and abbey . "send me that " I said "for sure" she smiled . the rest of the school day I took pictures with all my friends and got people to sign my yearbook . when the final bell rang me and Shawn walked to his car . "that went by really fast " he said and I sighed "yea it did , I'm really gonna miss this school " I said as we drove away . "you'll still get to see us Aves don't worry" Shawn laughed . "I know" I smiled " but it's gonna still gonna be different" I said and we got to his house . "well we just gotta make the best of our summer" he smiled at me and got out of the car . I followed & he opened the door . his parents weren't home yet & his sister was still at school so it was just us. he walked to the kitchen & made some food while I went to go take my makeup off. we sat on the couch in his living room & watched the walking dead (our usual routine when I was at his house) . I texted Ryder

me : @ Shawn's house . you can come here , go w Dustin or go to Aaron's it's up to you . just gotta let me know .

"Janelle & the boys are coming over btw" Shawn said "when ?" I put my phone down . "in an hour . I looked at the time it was already 3:30 & we were still watching the walking dead . "should we get ready ?" I ask . "yea probably " he laughed & we turned the tv off . we walked upstairs after cleaning our mess . I walked to my room/the guest room . I put on a plain dark green shirt & black shorts & redo my makeup . I put my doc martins on and went to Shawn's room . he was playing music & on his phone . Colors by Halsey just started playing . "your little brother never tells you but he loves you so , you said your mother only smiled on her tv show" I start singing & I sit down. he looks up & smiles . "are they almost here?" I ask. " yea Janelle is here" he said getting up. " okay I'm gonna wait here " I say and he nods walking out of his room . I took my phone out & saw a text from Blake
