Eventually we had to make our way back to the great hall McGonagall looked livid. She handed out schedules to students with such force that most people were trying to straighten them out. I looked at mine. It was kind of hard to read considering it was crumpled. But I finally concluded that today I have:

Potions- 9:00
Defense Against the Dark Arts (DADA)-10:30

Lunch-12:00

Charms- 2:00

Not a bad schedule for the first day. I've already missed Potions so I head back to Gryffindor common room. I grab my DADA and Charms books, not wanting to have to stop by after lunch, and a muggle book that I have been reading. Dad brought it home one day from work and let me keep it. Then I head to DADA. I get there at 10:20.

I head in to see a couple other people there including Lina. She motions me over to sit by her which I gladly do. Fred and George come in soon after and sit right behind us. "McGonagall seemed really mad," George says sarcastically. "I wonder why."

Ten minutes later the teacher comes in. She's a rather tall witch with curly red hair that comes a little farther down than her shoulder. She looked like a cross between strict and gentle. She held her wand in her hand. "I am Josaphine Krisp but you will address me as Professor Krisp." She flicks her wand and writing appears on the board.

"You will copy down some notes and then later in class we will do some practical work." She says and there's a scraping as people pull out there quills and start writing.

We were learning about different spells. Most spells are blockable. So for the active participation part we worked on shield charms. I was the only one able to produce a somewhat decent shield charm. But Lina was able to break it by running into it with a lot of force ( since no one knows any spells yet we can't use any.)

"Good work today, everyone," Professor Krisp says. She patted me on the back enthusiastically. "We'll work more on this next time."

I grab my bag and swing it over my shoulder while walking out of the classroom. "We have a half an hour before lunch," Lina says, her schedule in hand. We have the same classes. "Well, we'd better start walking in that direction." I say and start skipping, my bag swinging back and forth. "I want to get a good seat."

Are DADA classroom is on the sixth floor so it takes a while to get down there. By the time we arrived it was 11:56. Lunch in four minutes. I push open the large doors and hear a lot of chatter.

"Come on," say, grabbing her by the hand and rushing through the hall and plopping down at the Gryffindor table. I start to shove food into my mouth.

"Woah, slow down sis," George says sitting across from me, with Fred next to him. "No'h, I-mhh- gotta go," I say with food in my mouth. "Bye!" I run out of the hall, out the front door, and into the crisp fall air. Multi-colored leaves litter the dew stained grass outside the large castle.

A large tree leans over the lake providing shade. I lean back against the trunk and close my eyes. "Ah," I sigh taking a deep breath. Something wet covers my face. I open my eyes, looking up at the top of the tree. Fred, George, and Lee sit perched on a branch with a bucket full of water balloons. "Oh, your going to pay," I say menacingly. "Oh, I'm so scared," Lee says sarcastically.

They start pelting me with water balloons. An idea cons to me head. I start backing into the water. I know I'm getting wet but it will be worth it. I am out of range where they can throw. "Come on," Fred says and they start to edge out farther into the branch. I keep moving back. Now the water is at my neck. I'm completely soaked. The Black Lake is really cold especially since it's fall. "Let's go," George encourages as the move to the very edge.

A satisfying loud crack fills the air and a smile appears on my face as the branch falls off the tree and into the water. They completely submerge and I start to pull my way out of the water. My clothes are heavy since they are wet and it is slowing me down. I know when they get out they'll know it was my plan all along so I have to get back to the dorms.

The water is at knee height now. I'm almost there. I feel a sharp tug and I'm pulled back into the water. My goes underwater and a sharp pain blurs my vision. White spots flash before my eyes and everything goes black.

     "Do you think she's ok?"

  "I don't know what happened."

   "It not your fault."

"It is to," I mutter with my eyes still closed. I hear a large I take of breath. I open my eyes to see Fred, Lee, and George leaning over me with concern plastered on their faces. "Aww," you guys care for me." I joke pushing them to the side as I sit up. I'm still laying down by the lake, my clothes soaking. All of the sudden I'm aware of a stabbing pain in my leg. "Ouch," I complain trying to move it.

"Ugh, sorry about that." Lee says. "When we were moving you out of the lake we may have dropped you, on you leg, and you may or may not have broken it." George finishes. "And we didn't want to move you in case we hurt it more." Lee says.

"It's fine," I wince and fall back down after tried to stand up. "Here let me" Lee says offering me his arm.

"Thanks," I mutter while taking it. He pulls me up and my leg sears with pain. George and Fred rush over to help. Together we make are way up to the castle and to the hospital wing. They had to carry me when we got to the stairs. Finally I lied down on the bed and breathed a sigh out of relief. "Madam Pomfrey!" George called. A woman with curly gray ran out from her office.

She wore a red cloth dress with a white apron. Her hair was pulled into a curly bun and a cloth hairnet was pulled over it like a large headband. "What do we have here?" She questioned.

"I tripped and fell into the lake and broke my leg," I say, leaving out the part that Lee pulled me in.

"Ok, I'll patch this up." She says. "Now you three go to class." She shoos them out and I lay my head on the pillow taking a deep breath.

Hey guys. Thanks for reading. Please remember to comment and vote. I already have chapters written for later books in this series so I am going to try to update often. Also in a couple chapters ago I put in two of my best friends Max Healy and Emma Klasing. I forgot to mention that I also put in my friend Aaliyah West. She's another big Harry Potter fan even though she doesn't like to read. Anyway, stay awesome readers.
