Two Months Later...

It was October 31st, Halloween. Halloween had always been Emma's favorite time of the year. Everyone dressed up as princess, a nurse, a monster. Anything a kid could dream. It was the one night of the year that her and the other kids at the foster home could actually enjoy themselves. But, it didn't matter. Once the older kids had run out of candy they would steal it from the younger kids. But, Halloween had still been her favorite. She loved decorating the lobby with Halloween decorations. Her favorite part was also having her annual Halloween party for the staff. Everyone would dress up and drink and have a costume contest.

She couldn't wait to see what Killian would dress up as. He hadn't given her any hints, and it had made her completely frustrated. But, all of that waiting would be worth it when she saw him walk in tonight. They had the entire event room decorated in Halloween colored lights and ghosts and bats hanging from the ceiling. Fake cobwebs and spiderwebs were on the walls with plastic spiders stuck to them. In the corner of the room was a table that had food and alcohol on it, along with soda and water. A few people were already there, socializing and relaxing. As more people filled the room, she kept an eye out for Killian.

She had dressed up as a pirate captain. She had a leather coat on and a tight blue corset. She had leather pants and leather boots. She had a white shirt on and her blonde locks were pulled back into a ponytail. She had a fake cutlass and sheath on her hip. She went over to the refreshments table and poured herself some rum and mixed it with some Coke.

"I figured a pirate such as yourself would like the rum." She heard an accented voice say behind her.

She turned around and saw none other than Killian Jones in a prince costume. It was shaded brown, and he had matching pants and black boots. He had a sword of his own around his waist. He didn't wear a crown though, but everything about his outfit just screamed that he was supposed to be a prince.

"Well, pirates don't answer to any crown. We certainly don't have to drink the fancy champagne that is served at your boring balls."

He laughed. "Well, lass, I should say that I am wounded by your comment, but I'm not. Shall we settle a minor disagreement on the dance floor?" He held out his hand for her, which Emma took. A slow song began to play and Killian brought her flush against his body. "You look lovely tonight, Swan." He whispered in her ear.

"You don't look too bad yourself, Jones."

"You don't think it's too much? I mean, I was debating whether to be a doctor or something."

"No. I'm glad you picked the prince outfit." Killian spun her around which ended up with her back against his chest as they gently swayed to the music. "You look rather dashing in it."

"Maybe next year, you can be the beautiful princess while I be the devilishly handsome pirate."

"Maybe." She kissed his hand and he spun her back in front of him again. Once the dance ended, they went back to the refreshments table and got more drinks and took shots. Emma was facing the door, and froze when another certain blonde walked through the door, wearing a gold ball gown, yellow gloves that went all the way to her elbows, and her blonde hair was curled with a tiara placed delicately on her head. Aria's eyes scanned the room, drinking in the look of the ball room, when her eyes stopped and settled to the refreshments table. Emma's heart stopped as she realized that Aria had dressed this way for Killian.

"Hey, let's dance some more." Emma said suddenly and tugged him back to the center of the dance floor. Killian hardly had enough time to put his cup down before he was in the center of the crowd.

"Mind telling me what this is all about, Swan?" He asked.

Emma sighed, knowing that she wouldn't be able to lie to him. Not when he was looking at her like that. They way that made him look completely innocent. The face of an angel. "It's Aria. I think she's trying to catch your attention."

"Emma, I told you that you shouldn't be jealous."

"I know, but look at her." She spun him around in Aria's direction. Fortunately, the blonde wasn't looking at them. "She dressed like a princess and I'm here dressed as a stupid pirate."

He spun back around and grabbed her hand. "You think that bothers me? You are incredibly beautiful all the time. Whether you are wearing a pirate costume or a princess gown. Either way, I would want to take you to an empty closet and have my wicked way with you because you have that effect on me no matter what."

Emma giggled and nodded. "Okay."

"I'm going to get us some drinks. Do you want to find your friends and I'll meet up with you?"

"That's fine. Don't be too long. I'll miss you."

"Wouldn't dream of it."

Killian went over to the refreshments table again, and got him and Emma sodas instead of alcohol. Aria looked up at him, and he could see the smile on her face out of the corner of his eye. "Hey, Killian."

He nodded his acknowledgment of her. "Aria."

"Do you like my dress? I'm a princess."

"It's beautiful." 'I wonder how that would look on Emma.'

"And you're a prince. We match."

"Aye, I guess we do."

"But, you know, I'm not a very good princess." She stepped up to him and tugged on the lapels of his coat. "Would you punish me?"

Killian cleared his throat and pulled away from Aria. He pried her fingers off his coat and looked at her with a straight face. "Sorry, lass, but I have a girlfriend."

"Girlfriend? Who?" She asked, completely shocked.

"Emma Swan. Now, I appreciate your offer, but I'll have to pass. Goodnight, Aria." He picked up the cups of soda and walked to where Emma was standing with her friends on the other side of the ballroom.
