There were times I questioned my sanity and if I was suffering from Schizophrenia because I actually heard and saw things no one else did. I sometimes wondered if I imagined things and if my visuals were even trust worthy but this was not one of those times because the shadow had still not moved and I could see it observing me. Did it notice that I had noticed that it had been noticing me? Who would walk around these woods in the middle of the night anyways?

"The devil." the small voice in the back of my mind replied.

I could slowly feel Goosebumps in my hands. What if it was the vampire? I could feel my heart beat like drum but if it were a vampire would it not eat me already? I observed the shadow more closely and it looked as human as possible. What if the shadow thought you were the devil and it is scared? Well, then why would a scared person be roaming around the forest in the middle of the night? Maybe it had a mental breakdown too. My confidence was slowly making its way back. I slowly walked towards the shadow. The more I walked; the outline of the shadow became more distinct. It looked like a man. I stopped keeping a decent amount of distance between us.

"Hello." I finally spoke addressing the shadow.

Few seconds passed. He just stood there. Was he deaf? He just stood there not even flinching at the slightest. I tried to see his face but I could make nothing of it except his eyes. They were bluer than any blue I had seen. They reminded you of the ocean and the sky. It was the color of tranquility. It was beautiful.

"Are you lost?" I asked quiet concerned. I took slow steps towards him. I was only a few feet away when he vanished. The shadow completely vanished. I stood there stunned. I looked at the empty space filled with nothing but the trees. What the hell? I stand at the exact same spot of the shadow but nothing. Had I be dreaming? I just couldn't have imagined the pair of most beautiful blue eyes just like that. What was happening? Should I go search for him deeper into the woods? Then it happened. I saw the majestic beast soaring into the sky. The enormous black wings flapping, making the dark sky darker than it already was. I felt sweat trickle down my neck. Had it seen me? I ducked under the nearest bush I could find and prayed to any higher power listening to spare my life. I stay hidden for a while. I could stay undercover in the bush all night and go home in the morning but would I survive. Would I go unnoticed? I waited for what felt like an eternity before I made a run for home. I never thought my legs were capable of that speed but I was almost as fast as a cheetah. I climbed the tree and hoped through my bedroom window as fast as I could.

I sat on my bed taking everything that had just happened. Have you ever had the feeling when you are awake but everything seemed so surreal? All I could think of was the blue eyes, the shadow, the weapon, the wolf, the big dark wings. What was happening? I let out an exasperated sigh and lay in my bed. I was exhausted with everything and collapsed into sleep with the blue eyes still in my mind.

I walked through the woods. The cold weather was giving me Goosebumps. The sound of the dried leaves crunching beneath my feet resonated across the dense forest. Just then I heard a horrifying scream. I ran as I felt panic soaring across my body. Someone was in danger. I ran further deep into the forest and then I saw her. My Nana lying injured in the ground and the giant beast standing squealing in what seemed like a sound of victory. It had injured it's pray and now it could devour in the feast. I had to do something soon. I grabbed the stone from the ground and hit the devil in the head. Its screeching sound was getting higher. The thing was as big as a bear. Its face was pale and eyes were hollow. Blood smeared across its sharp teeth. The thing had noticed me and in a swift motion it flew towards me and jabbed its claw at me. I fell with a painful thud! This was my end. I saw it coming but I was wrong. I saw a sharp silver sword stab the devil in its heart. The beast lied motionless on the ground, the sword still stuck in the heart. What had just happened but I saw him. He stood there strong and tall like a warrior. Just a shadow but I could see his beautiful blue eyes resonating with pride and victory. The mystery man had just saved my life twice.

"Thank you" I mouthed but he vanished once again.

I woke up abruptly. I was still panting; my bed sheet clung to my body because of the excessive sweat.

"It will soon be over." I consoled myself.
