The smell of old paper was amiable to my olfactory senses. My fingers were tingling as it slowly touched the paper. I was like a deer in the woods. Library was my natural habitat. The huge shelves of book gave me comfort. The rock hard cover of the books were like my shield against all the danger and sinister. Books were my stairway to heaven and my highway to hell. When you are trapped into a place forever, you have to depend upon the Books for all your adventures and travels. The people in the outside world may think it is boring not being able to view the world but it's not. I have been to half the world with my favorite characters. Hell, I have even been to Hogwarts. However, I wasn't here to venture on yet another adventure. I was here to formulate my plan of killing the evil.

I stare at the old book covered in worn out leather cover. "The Fanged Beasts", the book was huge and heavy. It looked ancient. I scan through all the information in the book. Anything new could work in my advantage. I couldn't miss a single little detail or else I would have to pay with my life. As I went through pages I finally stumbled across the golden information.

"Although the fanged beasts live a long life, they are not immortal. Their great speed, strength and other abilities like flight makes it difficult to kill them. A silver sword, dipped in the Beasts owns blood, on a solar eclipse; if pierced through its heart should render it fatal."

"Bingo!" I pat myself. I let out sigh that I didn't carry out my original plan; simply stabbing it in the heart. I would have been a dead meat. I was pleased that I had finally found a way to kill the vampire but now the real problem lay ahead. Where was I to find a silver sword dipped in the beasts' blood on a solar eclipse? I have never even heard of such a thing before. I could make the weapon myself but the next eclipse isn't in months and even If it were, I would need to get its blood. The vampire would know what I was up to. I would be dead in a blink of an eye.

"Research, more research". My subconscious snarled at me.

I went through the massive books all listing the sights of the weapon.

"Let's see. So, three weapons are known to exist. One in the museum of Rome and Greece. Both the swords are believed to have assassinated the beasts. The third one went missing from Courteese Fifty seven years ago. Great!" I said to myself exasperated. My eyes were threatening to bulge out from hours of staring at the book. My back stiffed. I let out a long yawn. The sun was slowly melting into the horizon. The bright yellow ball was slowly turning into a fiery red.

"Shit!" I cursed myself.

I was so engrossed into the books that I hadn't realized it was getting dark. I packed my bags and ran home. I was certainly not going to become a meal. At least not today. I could still see the faint rays of sunlight but the first star was already twinkling in the sky. I could fear sweat trickling from my forehead. If I ran as fast as I could for about thirty minutes I would reach home before the beast came out but running for that long was out of question which meant I had to take the path through the woods. It only doubled my chances of encounter with the evil but it was also short. Maybe if I was lucky I would reach home undetected.

"Woods it is." I let out a deep sigh and ventured my way into the woods.

It's been a few days since I updated because my dad forgot to pay the internet bill and my internet connection was cut off. I just restored my connection today so I will update more frequently.
