Chapter 10 - Cold

I flopped on Silver's soft king sized bed. God, ilang araw na ba akong nakakulong sa kwartong ito? Ilang araw ko na bang hindi nakikita ang anak ko? Or even Silver? The only ones who visit me here are the freaking maids!

I looked at my surroundings again. Black and gray. Black and freaking gray! It's so boring here!

It made me wonder kung ganito ba talaga ang kwarto ni Silver simula dati pa? I don't know. He never brought me to his house noong kami pa. I never understood why. But now, I do. Maybe it was to protect me after all. Considering nung malaman ng mga myembro ng Mafia nila na magkarelasyon kami ni Silver, they wanted me dead.

"How many times do I have to clean this freaking room?" Tanong ko sa sarili ko. All there's left to do is to clean this goddamn room. That had become my past time these past few days. But Silver is a neat person so there wasn't really anything left to clean.

Namimiss ko na ang anak ko. Kamusta naman kaya sya?

The door opened at agad akong napatayo sa kama ko. Silver?!

"Woah... Why is everything here so.... Sparkly?" Trinity asked, admiring my work. I let myself fall back onto the bed.

"There wasn't anything to do except to clean." I sighed to Trinity. "Why not sleep? I mean I'm actually envious of you. You don't have to do any work. Kung ako sayo, matutulog nalang ako." Payo ni Trinity. "Not until I see my daughter."

"Um.. Sorry ha? But I don't know who your daughter is." Sagot naman ni Trinity saakin. "Unless you tell me her name or anything about her in particular, then I can't help you."

Napatayo akong agad.

"Kira!" I blurted out?

"Ha?"

"My daughter's name is Kira, Trinity! Could you please find her for me? She's five years old!" Desperadong sambit ko kay Trinity. God, I want to see my daughter so bad.

"Five years old? That's young." Komento ni Trinity. "But sure. We don't have so much kids around here so it might be easier to spot her. But what should I do after I find her?"

"Nothing, Trinity. You do nothing." We both snapped our heads towards the door. And there we saw Silver standing on the doorway. "A-a-ahhh? Hahaha, Silver! Nice t-to see you here?" Trinity stuttered, faking a laugh.

"Get out." Silver said coldly. "Pero—"

"You heard me, Trinity. I said get out." Silver demanded. The girl sighed and looked at me. "Laters." She whispered at lumabas na.

"Trinity." Silver called out before Trinity could even step out of the door. "Yea?"

"If you dare touch Kira, I will kill you."

"Silver!" Suway ko. Inilipat nya saakin yung malamig nyang tingin. "That's all, Trinity. Iwan mo na kami."

Trinity threw me an apologetic look before running away. Damn it!

I glared at Silver.

"Why won't you let me see my daughter?!" I hissed. Sinara lang ni Silver ang pinto. He walked towards his walk in closet, completely ignoring me. It ticked me off. I hate being ignored!

Then nakaisip ako ng magandang idea. I threw a look at Silver. He had his back on me habang hinuhubad yung damit nya. I immediately stood on my feet, tiptoeing towards the door. The carpeted floor muffled the sound of my feet. Now is the chance, Kaysia! Go and find Kira!

Sa sobrang excited ko, tinalon ko na yung doorknob. Which to my dismay was locked. Damn it!

Sa sobrang inis ay napasipa ako. I heard Silver laugh behind me.

"You really think you could escape from me again, Kaysia?" He asked, his voice so husky and cold.
"Silver, sumosobra ka na! Ilang araw mo balak ikulong ako dito?! Gusto kong makita ang anak ko ngayon din!" I demanded, meeting his gaze. Lumakad palapit saakin si Silver while buttoning his shirt.

"Sure, Kaysia." Parang binunutan ako ng tinik sa sagot ni Silver. "Oh Silver! Salama—"

"Only if you marry me." My smile faded. A-ano daw? Marry him?!
"Nababaliw ka na ba?" I laughed. "There's no way I'm going to marry you, Silver! You're a criminal! You should be in prison!" I said through gritted teeth. Dafuq? He must be kidding if he thought balak kong makasal sakanya!

"There's no way I would let you take my daughter away again too, Kaysia. So guess what? Unless you marry me, then you won't be seeing even a single picture of Kira!" He spat at me.
"Anak ko si Kira! Hindi mo pwedeng gawin to!" Nanginginig kong sabi. Why is he so freaking mean?!

"Kira is my daughter too! I am her father!"
"Saakin parin nakapangalan si Kira! She's a Liro!" Paglaban ko. Hindi nya pwedeng kunin ang anak ko! Wala akong pake, kahit dalhin pa namin ito sa court!

"She'll be an Almore soon, Kaysia. Do you have any idea how easy it is to change Kira's name? In my current position, no one will ever dare defy me! Marry me and you'll have Kira." Hindi ko na napigilang umiyak. You've become a monster, Silver!

"Idedemanda kita! Hayop ka, Silver! Hindi ko hahayaang kunin mo ang anak ko!" I screamed, slamming my fist on Silver's rock hard body. Kahit anong pilit ko, he wouldn't even flinch. He just stood there with this really annoying cold expression on his face.
"You won't be getting out of here. Paano mo ako madedemanda?" Silver smirked. I felt hopeless. Hanggang nandito ako sa pamamahay ni Silver, wala akong magagawa. I can't fight him no matter how hard I try.

"Hindi mo pwedeng ilayo saakin si Kira!" Silver grabbed my hand at itinulak ako sa pinto. Napasigaw ako sa gulat.

"You took my daughter away from me before she was even born, Kaysia!" He said through gritted teeth. Mahigpit ang hawak nya sa kamay ko. "Silver!" I cried in protest. "So why can't I do the same? Why can't I take Kira away from you, huh?" Giit nya. Hindi ako nakasagot. Ginawa ko naman yun para kay Kira eh. If he wasn't a member of a Mafia gang, sa tingin nya ba ilalayo ko si Kira sakanya?! I don't want my daughter having ties with this man or his dirty works!

Silver took a deep breath and pushed me aside, making me stumble on the floor behind him.

"Be thankful I'm giving you a chance, Kaysia. If you marry me then we could both have Kira. If not... Then I guess I'll have to take Kira away from you... Just like what you did to me 6 years ago." Silver said and opened the door.. He threw me a look before going.

"I'm taking Kira to HongKong Disneyland today. I told her you were sick so you can't come. We'll be back in three days and I expect to hear an answer from you, Kaysia. If not then I guess you'll have to say goodbye to my daughter." He said and slammed the door. I stood up and banged on the door para buksan nya. Pero parang hindi manlang niya ako narinig.

"No! Silver, you can't do this! You can't take my daughter away from me!" Sigaw ko at naglupasay sa may pinto. Hindi maaari! Hindi ako papayag na ilayo nya si Kira! Diyos ko... Wag ang anak ko..

"Silver!" I screamed once more before collapsing on the floor.

"Kira.." And once again, I was left to cry alone.. In this damn cold bedroom of Silver.
