Iceberg slammed her talon against the ice. She had come so close to catching it! A fail like this could mean a demotion in the ranks and she didn't want to leave her very comfy spot as second in the first circle. That had already been taken away from her once. She promised herself quite soon after that that she would never leave second again. She would be so great that they couldn't replace her with someone else. And now here she was, failing to catch the simplest polar bear. Ohh, her father would be so mad! He had taught her how to hunt, after all. She turned around to head back to the ice palace when she saw Lynx. "Lynx! What are you doing out here?"

"I was assigned to keep you company while you were hunting."

"Riiiight," Iceberg said suspiciously. She an amazing fighter and hunter, and didn't see the reason why Lynx had to watch over her like Iceberg was a six-month old dragonet. Well, used to be an amazing hunter. Now, not so much. She heard wingbeats overhead and saw her father, Blizzard, flying down to land next to Lynx. "What's going on here?"

"Well, umm, I, uh, kind of, um, failedtocatchapolarbear," Iceberg said quickly.

"WHAT?!" Iceberg immediately wanted to just fly away and never come back to the Ice Kingdom, but she didn't know how long she could fly without her father catching up to her. Living a life of order was not her style. She wanted to be free and never have to listen to anyone ever again, especially not Narwhal's voice saying that she was lowered to the third spot in the first circle when she came back to the palace. She opened her wings and started flying away when someone bit her tail and pulled her back down. She looked at her attacker and who she saw wasn't a friendly IceWing nor her father or Lynx. It was Snowstorm.
