"Ugghhh, father! How many times do I have to tell you threatening my sister never works to get me to stay!"
"I know, but you need to learn not to attack her and appreciate her more!" Gust landed next to his father who was glaring at him. "Father, look. She made me straighten up," Gust sat up straight and continued, "She insulted me twice but that last one made me stop. I'm sorry father."
"Apology accepted." His eyes turned from blazing to warm and kind. Oh, how Gust was grateful that his father had forgiven him so easily this time. Maybe he's getting used to this happening, Falcon thought. "Son, I have some good or bad news, depending on how you take it. Two SeaWings were spotted in our territory earlier this afternoon. If you want, I can put you on the party that will take care of them."
"But father, isn't the war over?"
"Yes, Breeze, but we still need to take precautions, with Scarlet still out there. Those SeaWings could be loyal to her."
"But she hates SeaWings. Why would she have an alliance with them?"
"Right now, she needs every pawn she can get. Even if it means an IceWing, or two SeaWings." Oh, dear, Gust thought. Now he had a tough decision to make. Since Glide was the general of the primary wing, Gust could work with them to capture them. But what would Breeze say to that? You shouldn't do it, even if they are loyal to Scarlet, is what she would say. "No father."
"Hmm? No...what?"
"No, I don't want to be on the capturing party." He glanced at Breeze and smiled and winked then turned back to his father.
"Why not, son? It would be a great honor."
"Well, I don't think it's the right honor," Gust said rebelliously. He saw his sister grin at him out of the corner of his eye. "Well then, I won't put you on it."
"Gust, Breeze, Glide!" The three of them turned to see Queen Ruby charging towards them.
"Scarlet's been spotted!"
