One word stays in the back of my mind, whether I wanted it there or not. Astrid.

I get up, nudging Toothless, telling him to get up. The sun has yet to come up, and a morning escape awaits me. Not from Berk; but from this house, a morning flight, or a small adventure would do wonders after staying in that cell for what felt like years.

I take a look at my wrists, which seem to have healed from the Hunter's shackles.

Toothless finally wakes, and already knows what I'm wishing.

"Well, goodmorning sleepyhead." Toothless says.

"I could say the same to you."

"You slept for two nightfalls, look who's talking." He walks around me, pushing me up from my lay-down position.

I get up, pushing the door open quietly, asking Toothless to hold it, and I send a quick peek up the stairs, checking to see if I woke Astrid. I see her, still sleeping; and I listen to see if I woke Valka or Stoick. All I hear throughout the house is the small rumble of Stoick's snores. Perfect.

I run outside the door, first flying up to Gothi's to sneak my chestplate, before I fly back to the ground, Toothless following closely behind, running to the edge of the cliff together, before jumping off and taking flight. I look back to see if any villagers had been watching, though all I see is the silent, foggy streets of Berk; illuminated by the fading stars and moon. We fly off into the morning fog, laughing at jokes and random talks.

Meanwhile, back at the Haddock Household...

I wake, hearing the door of the house creak. It's not a mighty thing to be able to hear, but the fact of knowing that someone or something is entering or escaping is enough to make you jump.

I don't bother waking Valka, and I head for the door, immediately noticing a familiar black dragon and it's companion are missing. I head upstairs and look at Astrid, she's sleeping soundly. I know she isn't my daughter, and she'll never be, but if my dead son was to still be here; I would wish of him to be exactly like Astrid, though.. a male, obviously. Not that there is anything at all wrong with Astrid, we love her to death, but I can't help thinking of what it would've been like with a son. And yes, I know Valka said that the dragon freak could be my son, I'm still having a hard time believing it, and as of the looks of his disappearance tactics; apparently he is too.

I nudge Astrid, and whisper in her ear. I know that she'll love to go on a trip to find the freak, she loved looking for him when I first went out; though she never seemed content on killing him.

"Astrid, want to go on a little boating trip?"

"W- to where?" She sits up slowly, rubbing the sleep from her eyes.

"The fr- er, Hiccup has vanished with his dragon, we're gonna go look for him.. he can't be far, right? Wasn't he in your room finishing up just before the highmoon, at midnight?"

"H-Hiccup? Oh uh, yeah; he was here, just er, gathering himself, before he went downstairs to sleep with Toothless."

"Well, want to go look?"
