What the hell is wrong with her, the whole party went on even wilder than before. She never came back from after being beaten by our father, I decided to give up on wondering why she acts this way and have fun by the pool with all my pack members.

Tomorrow we all get together again for wolf fighting skills, its the worst time of the month for me I get brutally beatenq by the woman's harsh hits.

Currently Im laid out on my beach towel around the pool letting all my stress away. "Hey Lola" some guy swam to the edge of the pool propping his arms up, I raised my eye brows wondering how he knew my name "Uh yes" I smiled kindly unsure how he'd react if I disrespected him in any way.

His smirk grew as he leaned in whispering in my ear "How about later on I take you back home" my eyes widened, he laughed hysterically at my reactions "I'm kidding, my names Steven" his hand was out for me to shake I was cautious to take it but I did.

"Lola, nice to meet you Steven" I couldn't escape his intense gaze, "Later on my buddies and I are gonna stay the night and watch movies want to tag along" the heat rose to my cheeks I've never been asked to hangout with a male stranger before I nodded.

His eyes sparkled with a cheeky smile. My eyes roamed his features he's perfection his jaw line carved by the angels themselves, his bow arched lips. I looked up realizing what I was doing my cheeks darkening even more. He smirked knowingly "I'll see you later then Lola" with that he left.

I got up anxiously, it's sad my birthday is coming up I'll be turning 17 and my mate still hasn't shown up. I saw Helan run towards me excitement visible on her. "Alphas son is here and boy is he handsome I think Lewin found her mate" she rushed this all in matter of seconds my heart sunk, I'm happy for her truly but I don't think she wants a mate.

"Why do you think that?" I'm concerned but also more than curious, "I'll show you" all she said walking the direction she came from.

We entered into the living area the Alphas all here and his son, my jaw dropped "I know right he's perfect that's who I think is Lewin's mate" jealousy swarmed into me why her, he is a God and she is the devil to ruin everything.

I shook my head where did that come from? My thoughts became hateful towards her but I didn't see her in the room. "Where is she?" She shrugged "They seem like the perfect couple don't you think?" relief instantly hearing her words.

"Wait is he your mate" she squealed dragging me closer to him my heart pounded in my chest rapidly.

Oh gosh no he's not I couldn't form the words I will never forget the way he treats me and all the wolves that cross his path. "Lewin my dear" my father's voice echoed through the room. I could feel her getting closer my hand still in Helans.

His eyes brightened but not at me but whatever he's looking at, we stopped directly in front of him "Alpha Gray" Helan bowed respectably I couldn't move an inch.

He faced me growling viscously I trembled getting out of my trance bowing frantically "I'm sorry-Al...Alpha Gray" I stuttered terrified.

He moved his eyes in another direction behind me of course me I had to know, I turned seeing Lewin chatting with the Alphas and it looked extremely intense.

I glanced to find no one standing in front of me anymore "Helan I tried telling you he's not my mate" I couldn't help glaring at her for assuming such ridiculous things.

"You think your my mate" I tensed all my muscles up he growled beside me I shook in fear facing him "No-no Alpha Gray" his eyes black as night I stammered back.

"Don't lie to me" he took slow steps I could see the hunter in his eyes and I am his prey, "I'm sorry Alpha" I got on my knees hoping my submission would be enough for him to stop. He gripped my hair tugging me upwards I yelped as pain rushed towards my scalp my hands instantly tugging at his hands to let go.

"Don't ever let me hear you speak my name other than obeying my commands do we understand" the cold trickled through my veins demanding me to obey his orders "Yes Alpha" my eyes met the floor not daring to meet his cold corps.

He released me without another word, the room quieter than last remembered. All eyes were on me I could taste the shame from all of them. Heat rose up my neck excusing myself quickly, embarrassed that everyone witnessed that.

"Hey Lola I'm sorry" Helan yelled I'm not stopping until I'm away from all those judge-full eyes. I made my way into the back yard breathing in the fresh air "Lola I wasn't expecting him to react like that" how else would he respond to us accusing ourselves as his mate.

"Forget it Helan please" my fingers hurriedly untangled the birds nest on top of my head, a dull pain lingered where he viscously held on for dear life.

"What an ass he is" Helan stood crossing her arms over her chest I rolled my eyes of course he is, I didn't expect him to be a gentle wolf from where he comes from.

I knew crossing his path was testing my own fate, "Time to eat" one of our pack ladies hollered gathering everyone's attention, we rushed back inside making sure not to get in the way of the crowd.

I sat with Helan where we usually sit and Lewin decided she was gonna sit with the lower ranking pack members furthest away from me.

"Wow I'm surprised she would do that" Helan spoke with mouth full of food I giggled while handing her a napkin. "Yes well she's avoiding me" whispering the last part ashamed once again, this feeling is so familiar like second nature.

My eyes scanned the table I noticed Gray glancing constantly at the other end. "Who do you think he's looking at" Helan nudged my side "I don't know" I settled for that answer I know he's watching Lewin.

"Gray are you heading back to your pack tonight" I listened in like everyone else did "I'm not sure yet Alpha" his voice was deep rugged tone to it, my body was on fire hearing it.

"Lola could you please bring Lewin over here" my father asked, how could he ask me to do that? Why can't he just mind link her? I stood shakily approaching her she didn't seem to notice me coming. She spoke freely to the young lady which is the omega of our pack, they both were in such a carefree state that I'm about to ruin.

"Lewin" I whispered, nothing not even a twitch that she heard me I tapped her shoulder hesitantly her body froze.

Her body stiffly turned I backed up seeing her stance taking a dark energy over her. She growled fiercely I became her target fresh and alive. She stood up so quickly knocking the chair to the ground the bang echoing loudly.

"Father wants you" my last attempt to not end up in a nasty fight like old times. Her eyes black as coal she started approaching me eyes never leaving mine.

She walked right past me I exhaled the breathe I was holding. "Yes father" she didn't bother hiding her conversation, "Sit we have to talk" I walked back to my seat which is unfortunately right next to hers.

"Alpha Rook's will be going back to his pack but Gray will be staying here for the night so we need to have a guest room made for him" he didn't bother telling me this I'll end up being the one who sets this up.

"For you Lola" I regret wanting to be apart of this "Yes" my sweetest voice I could come up with smiling lightly "Help Lewin with this" my smile faltered "Of course father" I leaned in my chair dreading this.
