Chapter 14

LEXIE'S P.O.V

Currently I was sitting at a picnic table while my mate spoke about training too other wolves. Alec's eyes were hard and blood shot from lasts nights attack. Friday night there was more of Nathan's servants and last night there was vampires. Alec didn't go to bed, he just stayed in his office doing work.

"Start running, all of you." Alec growled impatiently.

They departed into the woods changing form. I sighed unhappily and watched Alec mumble too himself.

"Lexie, Go get Daniel for me." Alec demanded.

I nodded and started too walk to Daniel and Maggy's house. After waiting a few seconds of me knocking on the door, Daniel walked outside and beckoned me too follow. I turned around and followed Daniel too Alec. Alec hasn't been paying attention too me, I mean besides the orders he told me too do. He hadn't even had been eating. I stood behind Daniel as him and Alec spoke.

"Our guards our up, we have our watch towers, and we have more people then he does, he's just decreasing his people." Daniel said, "Stop worrying, look at Lexie!"

He pointed too me and Alec looked at my facial features. His lips formed a small pout and he looked at his feet.

"Pay attention to Lexie, take a break." Daniel said.

"I can't, it's better too keep her safe." Alec said looking at Daniel.

I turned on my heel and went off too my house to get Alec some food. Something wet and cold landed on my nose. I looked at it crossed eyed and gently swept it off. I looked up and saw snowflakes falling gracefully from the sky onto me. I smiled and just made my way towards the house. I walked in and entered the kitchen to see G-ma making food.

"Hey, whatcha doing?" I ask.

"Making your mate food so you don't have too." She said.

"Thanks, G-ma." I said.

"You should dress warmer, it's freezing outside." She said giving me a sandwich in a ziplock bag.

I took it and she reached over the counter then handed me my favorite sweatshirt.

"You're amazing." I said as she gave me a kiss on the cheek.

"Go off, don't starve my Alec." She said.

I slipped on my sweatshirt and went outside with a peanut and butter jelly sandwich in my hand. Snow was coming faster and faster and I picked up my pace towards Alec. He was sitting at the bench and had his head hung low. I sat next to him and set the sandwich on his lap.

"Eat up." I told him.

"Do you know what's tomorrow?" He asks.

"Monday." I say.

"You hit heat, I won't be around, I'm leaving tonight, and I don't want to kill us." He uttered.

"Then it's pretty simple what's going on tonight." I say.

"You seriously want your virginity gone from a rush hour? No, it won't work that way." Alec decides eyeing the sandwich.

"They need you, it'll be fine." I said nudging his shoulder with my own.

"Lexie-" His voice was sincere.

I pressed my finger too his lips and said, "It's fine."

He sighed and put his head on my shoulder, "I don't want it too be that way though."

Neither did I, but our people were more important.

"When will you be back?" I ask.

"Depends when we can get the job done." He said.
