Not Without You - Stucky

Time in between

After Bucky had volunteered to go back into cryo, Steve had a hard time focussing on what to do when his friend was with him, yet so far out of reach.

The blonde had found himself losing touch with life when he first came out of the ice, and after all that had happened, he found himself going back to that deep dark pit of his mind again.

So he did what he new how to do best, plan and complete missions.

T'Challa had gained some information on the location of the team he had left behind.

(Time skip to once he breaks the others out of the raft)

"Hey man it's good to see you" Sam patted Steve on the back as they all sat in the jet, flying towards Wakanda.

Steve looked up, the corners of his mouth twitching upwards,

"yeah you too Sam"

"How's your boy doing" Sam said sitting down next to the blonde.

"Uh.... He's okay... Yea he um went back into cryo, wanted to get all the stuff out of his head" Steve managed to push out, trying to stop his voice from cracking as his gaze went to the floor.

"Did you tell him?"

"Tell him what?"

"Oh come on, I saw you make googly eyes at him, which actually made me kinda confused when you kissed Sharon"

"I don't... I mean" Steve took in a deep breath.

Sam noticed the sad look in Steve's eyes so he attempted to slightly change the subject.

"So how's Sharon anyway?"

"I don't know"

"What do you mean you don't know? I'm pretty sure you guys were making out the last time I saw you two"

Steve winced "I don't know if I did the right thing, I mean I have a great respect for Sharon, but it was so close to Peggy's funeral, I don't know, I thought maybe I could have what I had with Peggy but it didn't feel right, didn't feel like how I would have hoped it would be"

"Wow how are you gonna tell her? I mean she seems like really into you"

"I don't know but I think I mucked everything up and Buc..." Steve's face turned bright crimson red as the words flew out his mouth.

"I knew it!" Sam cheered, staring in Clint's direction.

"Ugh fine!" Clint threw his arms up before fishing into his pockets then shrugging.

"They took my wallet away"

"Oh sure thy did, you still own me ten bucks and don't think I will forget it" Sam chimed.

"Umm sorry, but care to explain what's going on?" Steve looked at the two men.

"Hey we're not the only ones, everyone's had bets on whether you were bi or not for ages" Sam smirks at Clint, who gives him the finger back.

"But does Buckaroo know yet?" Sam raised his eyebrow to Steve.

"He isn't, he was never..."

"Oh sure, y'know you weren't the only one with hearts in your eyes"

"No I mean me and Bucky are just friends, we're nothing more"

"Sure" Sam smiles to himself.

The trip to Wakanda is long, and filled with a lot of awkward silences.

Wanda is still a little shaky from being forced into a straight jacket for the last two weeks.

Scott is fast asleep.

Sam is sitting there quietly, along with Clint and Steve.

They discussed a couple of times about what was going to happen.

Clint was going to go back home to his family, as long as Tony hasn't revealed the location to the government. And even though there is now a lot of trust issues between the two of them. Clint in fairly sure that Tony will not put Clint's children at risk.

The rest of them have kindly been offered a house to stay in, which hangs of the side of a Wakanden mountain, out of sight from the public.

The team is still a little shaky, but we'll make it work, Steve hopes.
