Not Without You - Stucky

White mist steamed up the chamber as the doctors began to unfreeze Bucky's body. Steve watched attentively, making sure Bucky was not being harmed in the process.

The chamber door was opened as the brunettes body started to twitch.

"Go ahead captain" T'Challa motioned towards Bucky "It will be good for him to see a familiar face".

Steve ran up to Bucky's limp Bucky and began to undo the buckles around him as the nurse instructed from behind him.

The brunettes body fell towards him, Steve catching him in his arms.

"Hayyyy" Bucky slurred, slumping into Steve's chest.

"Hey Bucky" Steve smiled pulling him closer.

A doctor asked if Steve could help Bucky to the bed, Steve almost having to drag Bucky's limp body.

"We will run some tests and then we will submit him into your care if you are willing to" a nurse walked towards Steve holding out a contract to sign.

"Oh yes, of coarse" he smiled, signing the sheet of paper.

Bucky was laying on the bed, almost unconscious, as doctors and nurses ran body scans to check on his health.

T'Challa walked into the room "Ah captain it is nice to see that the procedure went well, I am sure one of the nurses has informed you about taking him into your care"

"Yes"

"Good, I am sure the house we have provided your team will suffice to help Barnes with his recovery from cryo freeze, although I should warn you he may be quite sleepy for the next few days"

"Yeah, thanks for everything by the way, I honestly don't know where we'd be if we didn't have your country helping us"

"It is no problem, I am happy that you have found my country accommodating"

"I just have one more question though"

"Yes?"

"You said recover, I thought, well from what I know Hydra basically put him straight into combat after cryo-freeze"

"Yes I believe Hydra's methods were much, rougher, cryo-freeze is tough on the body and often leaves it drained for a couple of days, we will make sure Barnes is given the right treatment once the doctors have cleared him".

Steve's smile turned into a frown, just as he thought the list of cruelties Hydra had done to Bucky couldn't get longer, another atrocity turns up. Causing his chest to tighten at the thought of how Bucky was treated.

After the doctors had cleared Bucky, he was placed in a wheel chair as he was still waking up from his long sleep. Steve carried him into the car T'Challa had provided, and began to drive back to the house where what was left of his team were staying.
He couldn't help but smile at the subtle noise of Bucky snoring.
