Not Without You - Stucky

Thanks to T'Challa's generosity, the team was given a rather luxuries place to stay while the effects of the accords toned down.

Steve was thankful that he had good friends to keep him company, but even with all the distractions he put in place his mind kept wondering back to Bucky.

Steve would go to visit Bucky everyday. Sometimes just to talk about how his day went, sometimes to read the brunette his favorite stories from when they were younger, and sometimes just repeat how sorry he was over and over again, wishing Bucky could hear him.

Today had been a rather bad day for Steve, he woke up clammy hands, and wet eyes, with Bucky's name rolling of the tip of his tongue as the image of Bucky falling came back to him.

The blonde walked into the glowing room, in which Bucky had been kept. Frozen in time. He hadn't noticed the tears dripping down his cheeks as he pulled a chair up to Bucky's sleeping form.

The scene reminded Steve much of the movie 'Snow White' him and Bucky had watched as teens. He leant his face forward towards the glass.

"I'm sorry Buck, I'm so damn sorry any of this happened to you" Steve whispered, his eyes letting go of all the pain and anger he had been bottling up. Letting a steady flow of tears drench his face.

"I miss you Buck, I need you back like old times, 'partners in crime' they used to call us, I'm so sorry I let my partner down, I'm so sorry" Steve breathed out jagged sounds, his voice cracking as he spoke.

"I will never leave you Bucky, if I can even begin to to pay back some of the debt I owe you, I will wait here 'till you're able to live freely again" Steve croaked "I promise, I will never leave you again.

That night Steve fell asleep with his head lying over Bucky's sleeping form.

"Ah Steve I have been looking for you" T'Challa strolled into the lab, wearing a smart suit for the time of morning.

Steve was startled awake, noticing where he fell asleep, trying to act cool, hoping T'Challa wouldn't notice.

T'Challa tried to hide his smile noticing what had happened.

"I believe we may have found a way to cure your friend"

Steve eyes brightened at the mere chance that he would get Bucky back.

"I have discussed with Wanda.." he said pulling a chair up to sit on "... and she believes that she may be able to undo some of the damage done to Barnes' mind.

Steve's smile grew as he looked up from where he had originally been staring at his hands.

"When can we wake him?" Steve chimed, excitement plastered all over his face.

"Well I have thoroughly discussed with my team, and they believe they could bring him out within a couple of hours, once all the preparations have been finalized. I will call you when the procedure is ready, but for now I believe it is best that you go and rest"

Steve nodded, his smile left in exactly the same position as he strolled out the door giving Bucky one last glance before leaving.
