Chapter Twenty Five (unedited)
Lucas' POV
Lucas drowned his misery with his best friend. Scotch
Such taste that could blur your senses. Tangled yourself with the web of oblivion and restlessness. Lucas couldn't help as a bitter laugh escaped his foul mouth, stench with alcohol and despair
Now everything is fúcked up
Lucas began to groan as he continuously pulled his hair as he sat on his desk. Cursing his Wolf and the pull for Savanna winning. The call for Savanna's scent and blood has affected him greatly and now that he had claimed her as his- he didn't know what to do next
Marking her had been the greatest and biggest mistake Lucas as ever done and now he's going to pay for this recklessness of his
His plan wasn't doing well... No, it was going the other direction and now he didn't know how to turn back to it's original pace. Lucas continued to drink himself away, losing himself to the buzz that made him forget about the big problem he has right now.
How is he going to win now?
Regret was consuming his very soul, the fact that Lucas had been throwing himself to work with his cousin, Alaric, and took some control with the pressing battle they were about to face. Now he had ignored Savanna in every turn. His body would move away when he could smell her scent and would turn the other way. Savanna had been trying to call him, begging him with her wolfs cry, trying to interact with his but Lucas only shrugged it off.
It was hard, being away with her and ignoring her. The way she did the best she could to talk to him or just give her glance but still- Lucas never wavered
Instead he threw himself to work- busying himself with useless things and now his wolf began to scratch his flesh. Teeth and power combined, making Lucas uneasy and rigid. This wasn't going to well. He needs to touch Savanna, he had to but he couldn't knowing he would make things worst if they made contact
Suddenly a knock filled his ears as it perked up- wishing it would be Savanna but as he got a whiff of that foul stench of his cousin, his frustration grew.
Alaric didn't wait for Lucas' to tell him to enter. He went in with confidence but it changed the moment Lucas roared in pain and anger as he threw his glass on top if Alaric's head, making him duck in the process
"Woah, cousin your wolf making you anxious?"
"Get out" Lucas gritted out. His shaking hands made contact with his hair feeling them with his unkept locks. He didn't need his cousins presence right now. In fact he couldn't stand anyone's presence but hers. Savanna
God his blood was pumping too fast, his heart beat accelerated the moment his memory flashed through the years he's known her. How he met her as a baby and now into a beautiful woman he couldn't keep his hand off
"Fúck" he cursed when he realized his claws had elongated just as his fangs did when his eyes kept on flashing him of her. His skin touching hers, bodies molded each other as Lucas fought for control
'Stupid mutt' he thought, knowing his wolf was doing this in purpose
Suddenly he remembered he wasn't alone and when he did looked up, Alaric was smiling from ear to ear, finding his situation too funny
"Women cousin. Your balls are claimed by a women which means they control your body for a mans testicles are in fact our pride" he joked
"Shut up Alaric, you got yours shoved down Missy's throat"
